I made a video for The Oldest and used that song as well as You're just A Call Away by The Struts

I don't know, the mom in me worries that he's going to get hurt, LOL. But yea, it was epic!

He wasn't in a very good stage of his life then, so not sure it is something he would do now.  Plus 44 year old bones break more easily.

I have this weird tendency to look at the look at 10:39. It's not intentional, but uncanny.

Exactly the same here! & whenever my phone reaches at 86% I try not to use it much else the battery will low down.

Why? Because there's no return from 86! :P

I still get goosebumps watching their performance of Boulevard of Broken Dreams at Reading festival in 2013. I love how the crowd starts singing the song and Billie turns around and walks to the front of the stage smiling at them. The crowd were fantastic, the band gave an excellent performance of the song, and I love how Billie looks like Dennis the Menace in that t-shirt. And I love the rest of the set as well.

Who will be the "secret headliner" at Tiki Bar next Friday?

Is the tiki bar the bar in cuatro where it was suggested they don't play -- or did they play - I can't recall.

Thanks to your post I went to go watch the performance and I totally agree. There's just something about a performance with a huge crowd singing a whole verse of the song that gives me goosebumps. It's just really cool having that many people know the songs from both a fan's and the band's perspective. I often wonder what goes on through their minds when the band is up on stage hearing that many people repeat their own words back at them. It must feel really amazing.

Yes, Reading Festival's BOBD gets me every time. Its just so emotional seeing such a huge crowd sing along to the song in such a perfect way.

If anyone asks me if Green Day is still followed or whatever, I show them Reading Festival's show. The crowd was huge and the energy was epic!

I honestly think that the BiaB performance of Good Riddance was better than the version on Nimrod. I feel as if it tugs at you more, emotionally.

I'd love to ask the band how they feel when they hear people singing their songs. After the effort that they put in when recording the songs it must be overwhelming to see that many people singing the songs back to them. They all looked really emotional when the fans started singing.

I don't think there are many bands around who could get the same reaction from the crowd that GD got.

Listening to their songs has left me feeling depressed and angry today. It's been a while since I listened to them and I either discovered that Green Day music is a top depressant or it was the fact that I was writing lab reports the whole afternoon.

It's the lab reports, trust me.

It was the lab reports. Definitely the lab reports. Fuck lab reports.

You know what's really bad? Older son who is an Organic Chemistry major at an Ivy League university, spent less time doing lab reports than younger son last year, who suffered through high school IB Chemistry.

The better scientist you are, the better you are at making up figures. So I always spend a lot of time doing reports :P

October 2017 will bring the 20th anniversary of Nimrod. If GD are (still?) touring then, I could handle hearing the entire thing live, front to back. :D

Even KFAD.

Jinx!

Nimrod front to back would be amazing.

Also, I think the peak of their tour is likely to be 2017

Highly doubt it - I think they did Dookie front to back once on its 20th anniversary - they have acknowledged Nimrod enough through KFAD & what you mean by "still" - because in October they would have only just started & have not reached the most important leg of their tour - Aussie Aussie Aussie:D

They did Dookie a few times in the year of its 19th, so maybe they'll follow suit and do Nimrod this year :P

Yes! And All the Time, Scattered, Prosthetic Head, Hitchin a Ride, Worry Rock...just all of it would be so fantastic live. And I want live strings for Good Riddance, violin for Hitchin a Ride, and the ska band for KFAD.

2017, not 2016 :)

I've never seen them live, so I'm not yet sick of KFAD!
