Chin for a Day
GD has not had new music in almost 4 years, it is natural not to listen to them that much anymore. I just put my playlist on shuffle and I do skip quite a few of their songs these days, but there is only so many times you can listen to the same thing over and over again. I would imagine that people would listen to GD more once the new album comes out. Just like I've been listening to the Chili Peppers more since Dark Necessities is so freakin' good. There are plenty of bands I love, but don't listen to all the time because there hasn't been anything new. As others have already said, GD will always be my favorite band, even if I skip them more. AS a side note, I do have this thing that I have to include every GD song on my playlist, even the ones I don't like, just because they are GD. So, sometimes I hit skip alot.
Beathe.
They're in their 40s. Depends on what they want to do I guess. I haven't seen them since they played at Reading, if they never tour again I'm fine with it.

They are 30 years old now and haven't released anything in 4 years. I've been thinking how much do they have left in the tank. Could this album coming up be their last. Idk. What do you guys think? As Billie Hoe said, they are in their mid-40's. The Who, The Stones, Bruce Springsteen, etc are all still recording and touring in their 60's and 70's. I think if GD wants, they can be around for a very long time, because seriously, they are not that old.

A middle school student brough AI to class 11 years ago because I was giving the students days where they could share their music...I was stunned at how amazing it sounded! I had no idea! So I bought that and 21stCB when that came out, and raised my kids on those two CD'S on a perpetual loop in my car! But this past year with my kids older I had the time and inclination to get all the past music, too, and I love it all, even the Trilogy. My favorites are Warning and Nimrod. I'm still learning all the words!
PurpleIron1039
It pisses me off that GD is sometimes called "untalented" because they don't show off with flamboyant displays of virtuosity. I like that their music is simple; it lets one realize how much more lyric-oriented it is. I mean, I doubt that Tré can play like Mike Portnoy or something on the regular and Billie like Jason Becker, but music needs to be tasteful and appropriate as well. You don't need to shred like a madman to be talented and to be a good player. I think that Billie's a hell of a rhythm guitarist, and that Mike and Tré are excellent at what they do. I think that they can also do much more technically than they usually put into GD songs--Billie's F*ck Time solo in Cuatro, Mike's speed in Panic Song, Tré playing double bass in the Dead Mermaids, etc. Edited May 31, 2016 by PurpleIron1039

Hermione
I still listen to a bit of Green Day quite often (they have so much material it's easy not to get bored with at least some of it at any given time) but yeah I've been listening to my three other favourite bands and hip hop more for a while. No problem, once I get a massive urge to listen to them or they release a new album (whichever comes first) I imagine I'll listen to them lots again. 6 hours ago, BillyjoelxkidXx said: Well unfortunately you won't see KFAD live then because that is definitely not going to be played on the next tour - well it DEFINITELY will not be played on the OZ tour. WhiteTim
What if Green Day pulled a Prince and left Warner only to release 3 discs and 5 discs albums that are only available by mail order fan clubs

They don't make many mistakes.

RedundantIdiot
Recently, I have been listening to Warning (the song) a lot. I have looked on a set list website and I'm surprised that it's not been played live since 2001. I think they should play it again.
