Spike
Sometimes I just don't think that Green Day does a good promotion of their stuff. Based on what? If you say the Trilogy, your argument is invalid
localinsomniac
Didn't see this posted anywhere but thought it was kind of neat: The Morse code on the back of Stop Drop and Roll translates to "Design by Jason C"

localinsomniac
There's morse code on the back? I only noticed it because I was looking at the vinyl. Probably harder to see on the CD sleeve.

localinsomniac
Yea, I've only got the CD. Really cool to know though! On the CD you'll see it close to the bottom, next to "Mastered by Ken Lee" on the back cover.

localinsomniac
Not only the Trilogy but they promotion is horrible for everything actually. Promotion was decent for nimrod. In fact, I would say the guys set the standard for self-promotion at that Tower Records appearance.

Spike
Not only the Trilogy but they promotion is horrible for everything actually. Promotion was fantastic for American Idiot and Breakdown. Dookie too, as far as I know. Given that they've sold over 75 million records I think they've promoted them just fine. The first time that I heard about them was in the 21st Century era. Their promotion is absolutely horrible. Just because you hadn't heard of them around AI time doesn't mean they weren't one of the biggest bands in the world at around that time. They were EVERYWHERE.

Do you understand that I'm not in North America or England? There are very few people in here that already know of their exitence before the AI era. There are very few people in here that already know of their exitence before the AI era. (This frase doesn't seems to be correctly conjugate, sorry ) I disagree with this. Most people I know that know about Green Day but aren't much into them know them from around Dookie era. I wouldn't say that very few people didn't notice them before AI. Maybe younger people. But, yeah, Green Day were kind of big here during Dookie era.

Dookie is an exception relative to the promotion thing. The group that really knows Green Day from the "old" times is kinda small and closed. I'm referring to promotion in full scale. UNICORN VOMIT
I was driving to Perth airport & there was a massive iheart radio sign over the road - I wonder if anyone else saw it. I have never seen an advertisement for it here before.
