Brooklyn Baby
Well, today was the day that I heard Green Day played at a dance recital. For a fucking BALLET routine, no less. They couldn't have picked a Green Day song to go with a tap or jazz routine. No. Ballet. Stick a fork in me, I'm done.

Beerjeezus
Freddie Highmore from Bates Motel slightly resembles young Billie. It took me 4 seasons to realise that.

Popular Post Mar
Even with obvious bias (as a GD fan and '15 attendee), it's clear that last year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was so much better than this year's. You either had inductees flat-out not perform (N.W.A.) or let feuds get in the way of joining their bands (Peter Cetera, Ritchie Blackmore), which is a shame.
Beerjeezus
There's no other such uncomfortable thing as seeing fans dress like or pose in photos like Billie. No offence, I have no problem with cosplays or doing that for fun but i know someone who has done that every day in at least last 6 years and it's just scary.

straightouttasuburbia
I just realized that Wake me up when September ends has 3 storylines behind it. 1. Whatsername leaving Jimmy 2. The music video storyline 3. Billie and his dad.
Siddharth_471
One unpopular opinion I've come up with is that vocal filters/effects unit are not always that annoying. I guess GD have been using them since Warning and vocals on that sounded good and AI had some of the best vocals ever. Jesus Of Suburbia's vocals are completely awesome and my favorite. It's so cool that whenever I listen to it (specially the opening first part which also have some great power chords) I feel like putting a cape on my back and then fly out like Superman.
Ritz
I love how Green Day is capable of moving me into tears at random times. PS: Watching Broadway Idiot, for inspiration.

I agree 100% Vocal effects are definitely necessary to make a beautiful sounding recording. I agree Warning, AI and 21st CB has Billie's best sounding vocals, and they are very professional sounding with the right amount of effects: compression, etc. That is why they sound so crisp, and clear in the mix and professional sounding. Without the (tasefully done) effects you lose that quality. Weird, there's some guy that does that on Instagram. Random thought: I love the piano on "Restless Heart Syndrome". That song is so heartbreaking and beautiful and the piano is perfect. There had better be at least one piano song on the the GD album!!!

I personally met 2 people who did that on daily basis. I couldn't agree more. It's one of my favorite songs. It always puts a lump into my throat. The piano sounds pretty as well.
Second favourite son
The trilogy wasn't bad, it was just so far from how good it could and should have been, and that was really disappointing. I'm terrified of being as disappointed as I was 3 years ago.

I'm not putting my hopes up in case it flops again.
Maddie86
shit. back in december I had some work out of town and i stayed in a hotel for a couple weeks. I developed a crush on a girl there and then I got laid off for the winter. I'm back in the same town working again today and I was super excited to see that girl again, but when I went to check into the hotel she wasn't there, and there's a few nights this week and next week where they are totally booked solid so I had to go to a different hotel and I won't get to see her. I've had "Missing You" stuck in my head all afternoon now.
