I listened to them for the first time and what amazed me was that guy was playing double-bass drums which is commonly used in Metal. GD should also move in this direction. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but that guy??? That guy would be Keith Moon, one of the greatest rock drummers of all time.
Popular Post Beerjeezus
Macy's Day Parade would be a perfect acoustic closer. I would bawl my eyes out.

I agree he might interact with people more, however I don't think he is bad at using social media, his tweets were very entertaining - now he uses it to communicate some more serious stuff and I'm interested in it too. He can't seem to bother with using instagram very often when the band isn't active but I think the reason for this is that he unlike mike doesn't want to reveal much about his personal life on there.

But again, that's just me.

You absolutely should see both. But, one is very good, one not so good. As Tim said..... I have to disagree with you on Billie not posting because he doesn't want to reveal much about his personal life. I personally think he reveals too much. Mike posts much more, but he will post pictures of sunsets and random photos of him in a car, stuff like that. With Billie, we all know what the inside of his house looks like because he has posted so many photos. Mike usually doesn't post photos of his home, Brit will occasionally. And I don't think I've ever seen Tre post a photo of the inside of his home. There was one time when Billie posted a photo of him working on the old car (think it was a T-Bird) and you could see part of his yard, his neighbors yard, etc.

What I find interesting is learning about his views. I don't expect him to go in depth - there are other people who are good at it. 47 minutes ago, JJ1964 said: You absolutely should see both. Mike and Brit used to post losts of pictures of their children. To me it always seemed like revealing more than Billie but you are right that we even saw his bedroom. That definitely is revealing a lot.
GenXIdiot
Billie doesn't seem to be out and about much right now...hopefully because he's locked himself up in the recording studio. I agree he could post more instagram, preferably another selfie-at-work (recording studio)..the microphone one was so much fun.

He had the guy meet him on the corner where his apartment is. He has also posted pictures of the inside of his NY apartment and pictures of him standing on the steps. I don't think Mike, Tre or even Brit has gotten that personal.

I was just disagreeing with Jane that I don't think he tries to hide his personal life that much. I'm sure there is alot he does hide, but there is alot he shares as well.
Maid Meringue
Watching Disease is Punishment for the first time in forever - Roshambo could easily be a trilogy song minus the synth. Also I'm tardy to the party but I saw HLAHG on sale in Best Buy and I was so proud. I was actually kind of disappointed in how it turned out, but I'm sure that was due to major editing. I had higher expectations based on how "Time to Wake Up" was.
Libertine Angel
I've introduced my parents to Stiff Little Fingers and it may have ruined Green Day for them, they hear Billie in every SLF song now
Popular Post Maddie86
this this may be (probably is) the wrong place for this comment, but i've been on a huge Pinhead Gunpowder kick lately. I was listening to their 7"s tonight and I just ended with the one they released back in 08. Anniversary Song is credited to having lyrics written by W. Fink, which is a pseudonym used by Billie, right? the lyrics and melody are very billie, and i love the energy of the song . it's been 8 years since this was released, so i have very little hope to a new PHGP release, but i'd love to see something along these lines on a new GD album.
Libertine Angel
Insomniac might be working its way towards becoming my favourite Green Day album. Me being obsessed with old punk makes that not too surprising, but...damn is it fucking genius. As far as punk albums go I'd easily put it alongside Give 'Em Enough Rope.

It's only getting worse too. It has now become hourly. Im hoping this trip out to NYC will give me some release. Chin for a Day
I think I"m the only one that doesn't want them to go back to just 3 chord power chord songs. I know most of what they do will always be power chord based, but they were adding so much more to it. To me, going back to that just seems like going backwards.

They made five albums worth of 3 power chord songs and that is quite enough, at least for me.
