Random Green Day Thoughts

My sister and I have made a "Fuck Time" sign to pass time while queuing to see Green Day on more than one occasion. Never ended up having much of a chance to hold it up other than for the drunk bunny (I think the one time Billie actually asked for requests I was too squashed to get to it) but that would be our request . We got Prima Donna (containing one Foxboro Hot Tub) to play a line of it for us when we saw them but that doesn't really count :P. I have seen Blood Sex and Booze already but I wouldn't mind asking for that either, or Homecoming, or Kill The DJ. Although it seems very unlikely they'd play the last two unless they'd prepared for it.

Yeah it was at a Foxboro Hot Tubs show, fortunately they nearly always play it so if you're lucky enough to see them it's likely you'll see it. Also means they still know it and like playing it so I like to think it increases the chance of Green Day playing it, I'd love it if they added it to their setlist.

And that sounds good to me, they'll need to practice some of them first though

They did one in the UK, and they've done small/secret Green Day shows in Italy before, so it's possible :P. But yeah I would also like to see it on the next tour.

I always imagined this situation too lol and I always thought about some Warning's song, like waiting ( but luckly the did it for 99 revolution tour ), or Blood, Sex and Booze. Or something about Nimrod like Scattered.

Seeing Scattered live would be so awesome! I would also love it if they played Dirty Rotten Bastards, just because the intro would make for a great sing along.

Me too! It would be so energetic. It's in my top 10. Such a rad song. I wish they played it and Desentized.

All of Shenanigans except Rotting is fantastic, it's impressive how a B-side collection can be a solid album in its own right.

I actually like Rotting as well. His voice doesn't sound very good this low but it's got interesting lyrics. It would be pretty cool if it weren't for zombie-like vocal delivery.

I do kinda like Rotting, it just doesn't quite hold up with the rest of them. It's one of my least favourites, but doesn't reach the depths of Take Back, Nightlife and Rest. About on par with Xmas Time of the Year :P

yeah, I know that xD still it's a little hard to see them when they do something like that u.u if they change locations in Italy, maybe I could see them in these occasions XD

Rotting is the second best song on Shenanigans, second only to the great You Lied. Never considered what it'd be like live but I think it'd be really cool, I'd like to see Billie sing it before Good Riddance.

How can that be when Suffocate and On The Wagon are on Shenanigans?

They're up there as well along with Desensitized and Do Da Da. All very good :P

now that I think about it, it's the same for me, I really can't decide. But I remember that there was one period of my life when I was stuck with Sick of Me and You Lied.

Don't Want to Fall in Love, On the Wagon, and Rotting.  And I really love the lower register of his voice, I wish we could hear more of it. But between the vocal filters and his voice actually getting higher ( seemingly ) I guess that's not going to happen. :(

I don't think I can pick a favorite song from Shenanigans, but Suffocate will always hold a special place in my heart. Too bad they've never played it live...

the songs on Shenanigans made a solid album. The only ones I don't dig are "Tire of Waiting..." and "Espionage", all the rest is a collection of master pieces

I just randomly remembered how all the press claimed the rehab thing was a conspiracy and a publicity stunt and I'm like WUT all over again. Let's cancel a tour! Genius marketing idea.
