Beerjeezus
This is totally random and borderline creepy. You've been warned. Think about this from Amanda's perspective - imagine that the ex you dumped 20 years ago for whatever reason you had is still writing songs about you. Being a listener, I see it more like an archetypial character (whatsername) or a "song about a girl" but the guy has mentioned a lot of these songs/characters are based on this person and no matter what relationship they have now, it must be flattering and weird at the same time.
Hermione
I suppose if it was (in your eyes) just some ex boyfriend who writes songs it might not seem like much of a big deal, especially as like you say it's usually more like an archetypal character and doesn't get into personal details. When talking about the trilogy he said they hadn't seen each other for years but had met up more recently and everything was good, and then there's the song Amanda that seems to be something of a conclusion/closure type of thing so I guess they're both cool with it all.
OtakuLife37
She, I have got the Synopsis and soon, I am gonna start work on chapter 1. But here it is, everyone leave thoughts. Jimmy is suicidal, punk, alcoholic, drug addicted, Satyriasis, party animal and he is only 18 years old. Raised during under George W. Bush's economically and politically unstable America of 2004. The only refuge he has is his beer, cocaine and sex. He creates two personalities to cope with his life, St. Jimmy, who is anything but a Saint and The Jesus of Suburbia, the infamous party name he received. After his violent father's death, his Mother took to the bottle as her cure for depression. Jimmy hates everything and doesn't want to live in an America where his own president doesn't care. This is his story. For he is the Son of Rage and Love.

I don't know where i'm going with this post but i really wonder what kind of person she is . It sounds so creepy but she is one of the people i wish i'd meet.

These two songs are looking at her (?) from different perspectives. Or you can see it as two different characters. Everyone has more layers to their personality and we don't always feel the same about people. All in all, I'd say this isn't so much about her personality but about what she represents. She's a personification which makes it much less weird and less literal. But yeah she must be an inspiring person.

Tiggi2564
I have binge watched pretty much every green day movie out there ever, over and over again. I have pretty much seen every music video of there's on YouTube. I almost have the full collection of all there albums. And I like to watch a lot of green day concert videos in my free time. However, every time I watch these videos I get really upset and usually start crying because it just hits me. "I have never seen them in concert, and most likely never will" and it just makes me so sad since they are such a huge part of my life as you can tell, and it's just really hard. I hope I'm not the only one who feels like this or obsesses that much over them ?? but I gotta say boulevard of broken dreams, and 21 guns give me the feels. But dominated love slave is by far my fav ?

They played everywhere except for Antarctica last time they did a proper tour.

Hey we actually have a blog section for posting creative writing, you should make a blog and post your story/parts of your story there rather than in this thread. Just hover your mouse over 'Browse' at the top of the site, click 'Blogs' and then click 'Create new blog' to get started, and then you can keep adding entries to your blog by doing the same and clicking 'Add new entry'. The parts of your story will show up in the Blog Entries section on the front page and people can read them and give feedback . If you have any questions feel free to send me a message. Sometimes I can't watch concerts on you tube because i haven't got a chance to seen them live yet, being that i was young when they were touring, didn't drive, from a small town, etc. But don't worry there's definitely ways to see them, save up, get some pals with a car! Beerjeezus
Or if you're lucky, someone might be organising a trip so you don't have to do it yourself. Years ago everyone but me went to see them to Germany with a travel agency.

Maid Meringue
Fun fact: I have yet to attend a GD concert but I have an irrational fear of Billie asking me to pick a song to be played live. Ever since Mike mentioned how annoying it was to be asked to play old songs, I've been torn between whether to request one from the trilogy that they'd probably have on the setlist anyway (therefore wasting a chance to pick one that wasn't on the setlist) or to risk insulting them by asking for a pre-AI song. Yknow just one of the many things that keep me up at night lol
Beathe.
If they ask for requests I would say whatever song I would want to hear. I love their old stuff.
Beerjeezus
They ingnore the requests until someone asks for something they want to play anyway so don't worry
She_92
I always imagined this situation too lol and I always thought about some Warning's song, like waiting ( but luckly the did it for 99 revolution tour ), or Blood, Sex and Booze. Or something about Nimrod like Scattered.
