He will be in shape for when they tour this summer.  I'm being very positive today.

If I get to see them  (which I don't deem very likely this year) I won't care what he looks like. I'm fairly sure I'd freak out about seeing him in person even if he turned out to be fugly.

By the way, I wonder how I'll feel about this band when I finally see them. Not that I have unrealistic expertations, but by the time this happens, I will have been a fan for more than 6 years. (Was this a correct usage of this tense? This must be the first time I needed it.)

He can never look fugly, just sometimes he doesn't look as good as other times.

They are amazing in concert, if they come near you, you will be very happy.

Yes, I believe yo used the correct tense.  But then again, I'm an engineer, we don't know grammar.

I'd better be. Thinking about the influence they had on my life, I should be grateful. :D I don't think I would have the same hobbies as I do if it weren't for them and I wouldn've met a lot of people I like. It's just crazy that so many things in my life happened because of a band I discovered when I was 11. If I end up studying languages, which is something I found thanks to communicating with other fans, they'll be responsible for my career. That's pathetic af.

Well, you sure know it way better than I do, thanks!

I always thought Billie said "Why did you have to leave Suzanne?" in At The Library. I liked it that way so much, i wish i would never see the true lyrics.

All I was thinking was he looked tall - I think he is standing on a little box.

This post could have been written by me, really. Now that I think about it, my life has turned around because of Green Day. I'd never have started playing guitar if it hadn't been for them and I'm not sure I'd be studying languages now if at some point I hadn't listened to American Idiot. On the other hand, if I hadn't loved learning foreign languages at first I'd probably haven't enjoyed their music since the very first listen, as I did. I don't know, I guess it's all intertwined. Not to mention the fact that they helped me change my point of view about things and life in general.

I don't know if that's pathetic, but it's such a powerful thing that I hardly can believe it could happen! Sadly the whole story loses part of its meaning if it's written down like this, you just have to feel it inside. I've never seen them either, I can't wait for next year to come! (Yeah, I'm pretty sure the new album is coming in 2016)

P.S. I recently found out you're Czech, my father is Czech too! Are there other Czech people around here?

I feel you! I don't think my life would be very different if I hadn't found them, but I doubt I'd be making music now because I had no interest in it before. Writing it down or reading seems pathetic and cheesy, but it's a fact. They really had a positive influence on my growing up. :D

Eva (she lives in Murica tho) and a bunch of other people who I'm not in contact with because they aren't active anymore. It's pretty weird there aren't many since the band's pretty popular here.

Now that is illegal in the US.  You wouldn't want him to commit a crime would you?

too bad he's dumb enough to post evidence on his own Instagram. (remember that photo of him standing on a car?)

I can only do so much that I won't call the cops.

He even surreptitiously confessed to how he can appear taller - you remember the line in Christie Road about standing on his beat-up car? That must mean something.

Not particularly, they look good for their age.

I've officially been a green day fan for 10 years now and I still have yet to see them. This needs to change immediately.

I feel ya. I've been a fan for over 20 years and have never seen them. Hope to fix that in the future.

You guys are making my 6 years look insignificant.

My random thought: Are We The Waiting is so good. I haven't heard it in ages. Today I remembered it, played it on the guitar and realised how beautiful it is.

That's also an unpopular thought ! I was thinking of writing it to unpopular thoughts thread .(due to hearing many people consider is least fav or bad.)I really love it too.Such great lyrics. And good message. "jesus of suburbia is a lie." part affected me so much when i was 14 years old.I remember being angry about this song because from the first time i listened to JOS ,i was like "jesus of suburbia is real. he exists. He is a role model and a hero." then this line destroyed me.haha such pure feelings :D anyway,i really love this song.

It took ages, and I mean ages, about 8 years or so, for me to really get Are We The Waiting. I always used to think it was the weakest on the album, then I really listened to it (louder than usual) and I finally realised how great it is.

I always get really emotional when I listen to "Are We The Waiting". I don't know what it is, but it brings up something in me and makes me cry. I guess I relate to it somehow.

Are We the Waiting is a beautiful song that perfectly captures the feeling of longing for something better.  One of the things that made AI so great was that Billie's vocals were so spot on emotionally and he really captured it here.
