Libertine Angel
The bouncers at concerts must really hate Billie. Probably, though I've seen Peter Doherty do worse - I think he once had a fight with the security people themselves because they tried to stop him doing something.

It's nothing Axl Rose didn't do 20 years earlier, to be fair

Chin for a Day
A lot of Billie's more recent drunken antics make me as uncomfortable as iHeart now I know that alcoholism was involved. The Irving Plaza gig actually made me cringe more because it was less in your face but kind of as bad. Also, I generally find spitting vile but I can understand spitting on the stage if someone is singing for three hours. Not in people's faces though. It could also be this. The Irving plaza show actually makes me more uncomfortable than iheart because watching it, in hindsight, he was clearly spiraling out of control and no one knew what to do.
Hermione
I don't feel uncomfortable watching Irving Plaza. There must have been many times in the past when he was drunk and having problems and many times when he was drunk and just having fun and many times when it was a mixture of both, there's no knowing exactly what was going on at a given time so it doesn't really concern me. He obviously realized he needed some help with drink and drugs and got some, but that doesn't mean every time he was under the influence of them beforehand there was a crisis going on, he is also just naturally quite over the top on stage with or without them. I'm sorry but spitting is gross no matter what the circumstances are. I didn't mind Billie spitting beer on me when I saw Foxboro Hot Tubs. Only circumstance where spitting and beer aren't gross
UNICORN VOMIT
Hurting people in a crowd is gross as well to be fair, I'd say justice was served. I found the video by looking for the discussion about it on here but it's now blocked for me and there doesn't appear to be another one that shows it on youtube unfortunately, suppose it might work for people in other countries though (happens at 5:10 apparently). "Apparently" - yep no doubt that happened - feral little shit I don't feel uncomfortable watching Irving Plaza. Anaïs.
"Gonna disagree this time Irving Plaza was really sad & very hard to watch. What exactly happens at Irving Plaza that's so sad to watch? As far as I can tell Billie got toasted and they played an awesome setlist.

Just look at Tré's face. Exactly the same expression as he had at iHeart. He was scared.

Nah he was out off tune - pissed - the guys were pissed with him - & a good example is breakdown WMUWSE he says DADDY (it was 30 year anniversary) (too confronting for me). Anyways this is the concert he refers to in the RS article of waking up in a park afterwards.

Anyways this is the concert he refers to in the RS article of waking up in a park afterwards. The aftermath is cringeworthy, yeah, but I feel like people read way too much into the concert itself. Before the meltdown everyone was going on about how it was the best Green Day concert ever and so on and so forth; it was only after iHeart that all this talking about "I knew something was wrong" started. The breakdown is rather personal, yeah, but I guess I just don't see the rest of it. Granted, I haven't watched the proshot portion in ages.
Spike
I've watched the Irving Plaza show a few times and I've never got any sense of any of the band being worried of pissed off at Billie.

Maybe I guess if you were there you would think it was amazing (billie's huge backward stage dive). I had a friend at Shepherd's Bush concert (the one when the guys were late on stage because of "technical issues" - bullshit) she said she didn't notice anything & had a great time. All of it was not the impression I got - I got a guy spiraling out of control.

I agree that if I was at the concert, I might not have noticed anything, but looking back it is clear. He was off key almost the entire show. When he stage dived, it was back wards off of a 10 foot speaker. Mike and Tre were constantly shaking their heads at each other. Mike walked over to Jason at the end of the stage dive and said something. At the end of the show, Billie couldn't remember any lyrics and starting singing things like Mike Dirnt is a dirty whore. As Ceadog said, Tre looked scared. Also, I believe that this was the show that Billie said he woke up in a park on the west side highway and didn't know how he got there. That is really all I can remember off the top of my head.

And this is by no means the first time he's forgotten lyrics to songs or changed around words to mock Mike. Just revisited some of the footage in the last few minutes and scrolled through to watch closeups of Tre and he looked just fine to me. And as I said, the park thing is obviously unfortunate but that's not part of the show itself.

Like I said I don't know that I would have picked up on it if I were there. But considering it was a week from iHeart, I still believe that there were signs and that the rest of the band didn't know what to do. The park is not part of the show, but the fact that he was that bad that night is an indication of how he was during the show. I disagree on Tre, he looked like a deer in the headlights. Again, its all in hindsight

When I was 12, my dad wanted to mess with me and he made up a story about Billie defecating onstage. I believed him and cried for good 30 minutes. Then he told me that it was hilarious to watch me cry and that nobody is that crazy. And then I grew up and read about G.G. Allin...
