This is what I was thinking too. They have such an extensive catalog of their own songs, that even if they just stick to singles and greatest hits they'd still have enough for a full 2h playlist. So I don't know why they "waste time" in their shows with covers. As a fan, I'd rather they switch it for one of their own songs. But I guess it's precisely that, that they have fun playing it.

still wondering what the fuck the deal with 86 was
now that the modified setlist is out it makes me wonder if whoemever put 86 on setlist fm got it confused with a tease (which HAS happened in the past on setlist fm) or if 86 maybe got soundchecked????? (which would also make sense considering how they sometimes check songs that are "dead" on the regular setlist such as android being soundchecked in 2010 or self titled being soundchecked with tre in 2009)


(they could also have been trolling but who knows!)

I haven't seen any mention of it on Instagram, so I think someone was either trolling or confused 🤷‍♀️ 

I was just on a video call with to my partner when he joined one of his colleagues who went to the show last night, and of course I asked him about the show. The guy is a pretty casual listener (he felt the need to inform me they closed with Time of Your Life how cute is that?), but he was converted. "They played song after song! and they had so much energy! It was just amazing!" He sounded still really hyped and really happy about the show. I felt proud ☺️

NGL i honestly think at this point that they were trolling OR they (somehow) got Letterbomb's chorus confused with 86's chorus
if 86 was actually played then im fairly certain that a shit ton of videos would have popped up related to it like with Still Breathing 
ah well, theres always the next 2 shows for it to possibly appear

Spotify played me Holy Toledo yesterday. First time I hear this song and of this song, and I must say I'm obsessed. Just a mix of the lyrics being about something starting off so wrong but ending up in a really good (even if messy and chaotic) place, and the music following this same trajectory but being mostly just so cheerful. It immediately took me back to a period of my life that felt very much like that, around 2016 - 2018 (cannot believe it's been almost 10 years 😱).

So now I'm interested in knowing more about the song, but a quick Google search didn't turn up much. Basically just that it was released in 2021 for the soundtrack of a movie (from the name of the movie and the lyrics of this song I can already imagine the whole plot 😅). But is there anything else known about this song? Was it written for the movie, or was it something they had lying around and used it for the sound track? From the lyrics and vibe, I'd place this song in the Trilogy era. I feel it would fit perfectly in Dos!

I watched the entirety of Green Day’s show at Outside Lands 2022 today, and man, I’ll say it is the best modern Green Day show on YouTube.  They were all on fire and feeling it that night 🔥, the sound was also amazing.  I was listening through my phone speakers and I could hear every instrument clearly, even the bass.

Hey guys👋 I was just wondering is there like a thread on here(Its kinda early I'm still tired lol so I tried looking even checked general chat but didn't see a thread) for like advice on how to deal with hateful fans(they aren't on GDC thank God) bc I saw one of them on the Saviors tour (3 dates I went to) and my whole time was kinda ruined bc they would not leave me alone.

i don't want to name drop here but if anyone wants to message me idk just looking for advice. I honestly hope this is ok to post here. I'm asking this now bc i fear they'll be at one of these festivals

I am going to in May to see Green Day  I just want to enjoy myself and not be anxious/ stressed bc these three people have harrassed me. Long story short, I met them briefly in 2022 at a music festival, we became friends. They started treating me badly I blocked these people off all social media a year later in 2023. Haven't seen/ spoke to them since. In 2024 at 3 Saviors shows I went to, one of them (only saw one of them at these shows) started harrassing me, yelling at me in public while

I was waiting with other people. I had almost said "f it" and left. I felt uncomfortable the whole entire time. It sucks... if there's a thread for advice let me know? I can repost there or if anyone wants to message me. I just kinda want to get this off my chest, see what anyone else would do in this situation? And if you have a feeling you know these people i'm talking about message me. 😕 they are not on GDC but i still don't want to name drop as i'm fearful of them. 99.9% of Green Day fans are absolutely lovely. Sadly however there are a few bad apples and the more shows you go to the more you notice it. The only thing I can suggest is to try to keep a low profile, don't let them know you're attending and try to find another fan who isn't involved with them or who feels the same as you to go with.

thinking about 21CB tracks being played live now that LNOE is back and i find it strange how quickly Restless Heart, and Christians Inferno were dropped
Horseshoes i can kind of understand considering how much Billie screams in that song (especially after the bridge) but i cant think of a reason as to why Inferno and especially Restless Heart were dropped so quickly
then again they also straight up didnt play 21 Guns post 21CB tour until late Rev-Rad Tour/basically havent played it normally since the 21CB tour ended (all of its showings on the Rev-Rad Tour are Acoustic and ever since HMT started they've been cutting it off after the solo)

I'm sorry you've had this experience. Everyone I've met and made friends with at queues and shows has been really nice and most just looking out for each other. Maybe in the last run for the barricade some people get a little territorial (and that has included myself a couple of time, I must admit), but I think that's normal after hours of waiting in line, sometimes in an unforgiving heat, cold, or relentless rain, and the adrenaline of that moment.

The most important thing though is to stay safe. If they make you uncomfortable try to always stick together with other friends/fans whom you are more comfortable with, and if they are harassing you in any way, then speak up and notify it to security or authorities. Hope you don't have to go through this again in future shows.

I would LOVE to discuss this with you. I have made a lot of great friends in the Green Day fandom, but I have also met some pretty unhinged people and have also experienced harassment (a few years ago). It actually caused me to separate myself  from the fan community for a little while, and concerns similar to yours are part of the reason (along with a host of logistical reasons) why I skipped the Saviors tour. Things seem to be better (at least for me) in this fandom lately, but your concerns are absolutely valid. The culture of the Internet/social media has really fucked up a lot of people, and this fanbase is not immune, unfortunately. There are definitely some fans who seem to stand in direct opposition to all the good things that the band stands for. I have also become more immersed in the Fall Out Boy fan community over the past couple of years, and I must admit that I have found that fandom to be much more tolerant and welcoming.
