As far as I recall 5-10 years ago he didn't upload any single photo depicting soccer. I know he's been into american football, but soccer? Is it his new sport interest? It seemed to start after the Raiders left Oakland. He became a supporter and then fan investor in the Oakland Roots and Soul teams. Then when his son moved to the UK and he started spending a lot of time there he became a major soccer fan.
pacejunkie punk
Is this the first time in years that there’s no Green Day TV appearance or adjacent band live show on NYE?

Take away your football team and you may turn to soccer.
Popular Post stories and songs
This year was a great one in Green Day land. So thankful for the great memories 2024 gave me and the two awesome opportunities I had to see them live. Pittsburgh in particular was one of my favorite shows of theirs I’ve been to — so fun, so joyful —and I feel fortunate to have been able to take that trip to see them. Can’t wait for what 2025 has in store. Happy New Year, friends! 4

I am an addict in many ways and I performed it for a group of addicts. I just love the song and see how much it is about addiction, so if felt very meaningful. I introduced myself as a bit of a Green Day freak.
Robbie1039
I was just listening to The Death Of Randy Fittzsimmons by The Hives and it made me want to listen to Father Of All Motherfuckers, so I guess today is a rare FOAM day!
pacejunkie punk
Remember that private charity concert that Green Day played a while back with The Who in the backyard of a Pacific Palisades home? It’s weird that that home is likely no longer standing. 2

nowshesgone
Seeing the proshot for Target Field being leaked makes me feel like this year might be better than last year for the live side of GD (pls I just want footage of Bottom Of the Hill 98 2nd set and all of Bottom Of the Hill 99)

That Dude
I'm hesitant to share this elsewhere as it would outrage a lot of folks. I've been listening to bands that Jillie Bow has mentioned and he has a taste that really is as good as the music he makes. But I've finally come to a band that I don't like. Maybe there's a reason Billie only name drops one album from these guys and it's......Van Halen. Man, I'm going through their catalogue and just about every single thing about it is terrible. Am I insane? Also, I'm dreading the Pretenders albums. They seem like they might be terrible as well. On a more positive note, the other bands Billie talks about are good. Gray Matter, Seven League Boots, Discord, 10,000 Maniacs, Poison Ideas, Motely Crue and Teenage Fanclub.

The energy and the bravado got captured on record perfectly. Those boys knew exactly how good they were and when the red light was on they knew how to bring it. *VH of course does not count any Sammy Hagar stuff. That’s another band entirely. 3 hours ago, That Dude said: Man, I'm going through their catalogue and just about every single thing about it is terrible. Am I insane? I mean, everything is a matter of taste but they’re not exactly an intellectual band. It’s all feel. Of course it’s been said to death but Eddie was a virtuoso extraordinaire and that never fails to impress me. DLR was the frontman of ‘80s rock, dynamic to no end. A little goofy at times but take yourself too seriously and you end up being preachy like U2 on a bad day. There’s always like half the songs I could take or leave on any given album but when they hit, they hit hard. They could rock, natch, but even songs like Dance The Night Away and Little Guitars are sweet and betray a hidden softness that makes for an interesting dynamic. I think you’re selling them way short. Edit: Ahhh, I just can’t stop: Michael Anthony’s prowess on harmonies while also keeping an anchor steady bass at all times reminds me of a certain Dirnt-y someone. See stuff like Jamie’s Cryin’, Unchained, and Where Have All The Good Times Gone! to hear what I’m talking about. Okay, I’m done. Promise.
