Fangirls' confessions obv! :P

This is nice

Haha, whoops. Can you tell I posted that at 5am on the wrong side of sleep?

Haha! Something similar happened to me except possibly even more embarrassing - I tweeted that I did a bit of American Idiot musical choreography when American Idiot (the GD version) came on at a disco I was tipsy at, and tagged the UK musical's twitter handle. They retweeted it, and Lucas Rush (the UK St. Jimmy), the choreographer AND the director all liked my tweet :tired::blush:

Oh my god, this is definitely worse. I never actually think these people will see what I'm saying if I tag them, but I have to remind myself not everyone has the following that TSwift does :ninja: I have a few friends who I have quite explicit conversations with about athletes, and I think that is the one and only time I refrain from tagging. I don't want anyone blocking me 😂 At least we embarrass ourselves with G rated enthusiasm.

That feeling is so real!! I'm the other way round though, I fear everyone seeing my tweets so I rarely tweet celebs, even big ones - but I figured the American Idiot account would just chuckle and like the tweet if they saw it, not frigging retweet it!!

Wait, are they playing the festival together or is there more?

They're doing the Northern Ireland and Ireland dates together too, on top of the festivals.

That's another dream coming true right after the shows with Against Me!

oh darn, don't get me wrong, The Interrupters are more than fine but considering how giddy I'll probably be, I'd be more likely to enjoy a band I know well.

Jesus Christ, I can't cope with the fact they are playing with these bands :ga:

They'd better play Radio together again.

I also saw some comments like that from Rancid fans, oh well... if they leave before Green Day play, it's their loss

I'm so excited about them playing these shows together, I hope they will add more. If I could go to one that'd be a dream

Well, My Youtube Channel was taken down due to a copyright claim fom a person called "Paul Lewis". The video he caimed to be the owner is the Wigan 1991 shows, the one who has the Nativuty Play on  the beggining...

Just want to express here how disapointed I am for this... Don't know why people do things like this when other fans are just sharing things among each other, it is really sad...

Does anyone else think this kid kind of looks like Billie Joe?

latest?cb=20150530161814

I've seen him in various commercials, I think he was in an episode of AHS, and now he's in a new show called The Mick. Every time I see him I think "There's young BJA." I think it's the eyes that do it.

I believe there's an alternate reality in which Billie is in Rancid and does an extra long KFAD routine every show.

Same. I'd get a bang out of it.

Maybe the eyes, but the thing that makes him look like BJ is his bored expression IMO, Insomniac era, don't you think?

That too! And that's pretty much how he looks every time I see, so that makes sense. I've been seeing ads for his new show and I wanted to see what everyone else thought

I'm listening 'Foreverly' right now, it's been a while, and I can't stop thinking how beautiful Billie's voice sounds in it, for me it's the most beautiful his voice has ever sound (sorry, I always like to fangirl about it lol) , and I really really hope he does another record like that one, don't care if alone or with Norah, I'm just hoping for something like that again.

I was thinking about a weird thing.

How would songs from Dookie/Insomniac sound if they were recorded with the same mixing of RevRad (clean and clear).

Or the contrary: what if songs on Uno, Dos and Trè or RevRad were mixed in a Dookie way (raw sound, more distorsion and noise in general). I'm curious about songs like Let Yourself Go, Ashley, X-Kid.

Maybe the production is so important that could change your opinion on a song.

If GD will release something like that in the future I'd be happy.

@End Of The World check out dookiefied songs on YouTube. It's pretty cool.

Thanks a lot.

It's REALLY cool. The instrumental part is just great. Too bad I don't like so much the voice of the singer... But who cares, I loved it.

Was watching school of rock today, and besides all the great refrences in there it made me insanely happy to see the drummer kid wearing a warning shirt at the end of the movie. A really young kid wearing a shirt for one of their lesser-known albums, pre-American Idiot! (2003). Cool:lol:

If you're talking about the film with Jack Black, I vaguely remember that, one time, when he called the drummer, he said "Mr. Cool" or at least "Signor Cool" (in Italian). Maybe it's a reference to our crazy Trè:lol:.

Oh, and that film got me into Ramones...:)

After 8 years of listening to Hitchin' a Ride I finally realized what "eating crow" means. I just watched a clip from the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the title was something like "Mitt Romney eats crow" and I thought about how weird a coincidence it was, and looked it up. Apparently it means something like "admitting you're wrong after taking a strong position on something", a feeling I know all to well. I never bothered to look it up, I just accepted it like "yup, Billie literally eats crows".

As a non-native speaker I learn something new about Green Day's lyrics every day, not necessarily just complex lyrics from 21st CB but the "easier" ones as well, and my appreciation for Billie as a song writer just keeps growing. :D When I started writing two years ago I really learned to appreciate every little clever line I never would have been able to come up with.

you're just like me!

Hitchin' is one of my fave songs, I've known it since I was 12 but it took a couple years till I understood what it really was about. It's a great wordplay - he's using all those phrases that make sense even if you take them literally. (it's kinda weird, but what the hey, nonsense poetry is cool :P ). I don't even know how I figured it out the truth. I think I somewhere read what's "cold turkey" and then looked up the rest. I still think it's amusing to pretend that line is about food though.
