willplaygame
Good news but, people better bring their fucking iPhones in the theatre so It doesn't get back to "Disney's vault" for another 10 years. I know it's pretty likely but, they haven't said shit about a blu-ray/dvd/digital hd release.

So if you're not seeing a local showing, it may just be that the theater doesn't partner with Fandango. I hope the HLAHG website eventually puts a comprehensive listing of dates/locations up like Broadway Idiot did, and we don't have to piecemeal them like this. Not only is what you're advocating probably illegal, it's also really inconsiderate to the people who will be paying to watch the movie. Otherwise, we could've driven to Cleveland together like when we went to see Broadway Idiot in Columbus! (Although it'd be much more conveniently located, and it wouldn't be Ohio State's homecoming weekend, LOL!)

Broadway Idiot played over multiple weekends in other markets (Columbus was one of the one night only markets) and Ann Arbor got it in November, so maybe they'll get it too and we can all meet there. I know I shouldn't be comparing this to BI because it's different people/studios, but I imagine they'll be trying to sell it to the same types of theaters. Ugh @Tower City anyway Why the hell is this premiering on a Thursday?

Yes and I'd really rather pay 24,99$ on iTunes and get a 1080p DD 5.1 official version than have to download a really shitty cell-phone video torrent. AlissaGoesRAWR
This is very likely coming to DVD. Not worth getting thrown out of the theater for. Basically this... holding a cell phone up in a movie theater is just stupid because it inconveniences others. Pirating from the comfort of your own home is fine. #ethicsWhy the hell is this premiering on a Thursday? Yeah, I don't get that at all... ugh, I hope they announce more dates, but doubtful! I'll just have to wait for the DVD release!

Or that Tower City won't just be a one night only thing.I also see it being on Netflix or Hulu; the former especially seems to like music documentaries! Yeah, I'm hoping it will be a multiple night thing, and that the Oct. 15 date is just an initial release date (although that Saturday is BGSU homecoming, so I'm probably only going to be able to go if they do something on the Friday between the two dates, if it's a weekend-long thing). I mean, I know I'll be able to see it in some way, eventually, but nothing beats being in a theater to see a movie with buttery popcorn and fans alongside you! desertrose
Some film festivals might premiere it early. the Mill Valley film Festival here is showing it Oct 8 and Oct 13. I am going there on Oct 8 to see it. Keeping fingers cross some members of Green day will be there, since it is opening night.Other than Mill Valley film fest, you only can see it in Berkeley and San Francisco. So hoping for a DVD for those who aren't seeing it in their city.

Joe.
I'd be amazed if it comes to UK cinemas, a DVD release/Netflix is the only way most people in the UK will see it. I'd prefer a DVD release, a bit more 'permanent', I got Netflix specifically for Broadway Idiot and it'd been taken off before I could see it
