Why do people hate Uno, Dos, or Tre?

It suffers from the same flaws as the rest of the Trilogy (poor lyrics, weak guitar tone, etc.), but I think it's worse in that it's incredibly same-sounding. Don't get me wrong, Dos is my least favorite of the three, but at least it has some variety, and Tre obviously is the most varied of the three. Apart from Oh Love and Kill the DJ, every song on Uno sounds exactly the same. It doesn't seem like they were even trying to differentiate them from each other.

I personally don't hate the album,but like most said, it all sounds the same. I don't necessarily think the album is terrible, but it's boring after the 2nd time listening to it (if you get through it at least lol). It mainly lacks the variation the other albums have (which isn't much more but they have more variations in sounds at least)

All of Dookie sounds the same, all of Insomniac sounds the same. But they all have great songs on them. That's what creates the distinct feel of each album. Kinda like nationalism, how people who share common cultures show nationalism, songs that share a common sound create the tone of the album

Remember in 2011 when everyone loved Carpe Diem? Carpet Diet and all that shit? And people went nuts when Green Day played it live that one time in 2013 and everyone was disappointed that there were no good recordings? State of Shock sounds just as repetative as Carpe Diem, and I think they're both great songs

I don't see how people are saying the WHOLE album sounds the same, because I never got that vibe. The only two songs that sound the same to me are nuclear family and carpe diem. And the poor lyrics people are mentioning seem odd as well. I've never seen Billie as that much of a lyricist anyways, so idk. Let yourself go is on my top 6 GD songs and I play it almost everyday. The album is boring though. The whole power-pop vibe doesnt work for me.

I don't think that the trilogy was supposed to have a story to the album, so there's nothing the album is about. There doesn't have to be a story to the album for it to be good. Nimrod doesn't have that and it's my favorite green day album.

If anything, Billie's talent IS his lyrics. There are plenty of guitarists better than him, but no other musician in my opinion quite matches him in lyrics.

His lyrics are unbelievably incredible, relateable, deep, poetic, the epitome of good lyrics.

Billie's lyrics saved my life.

It has great, meaningful, lyrics, and a catchy sound. But the songs in Uno have mediocre sound, and seemingly pointless and/or boring lyrics. I mean, there are 1 or 2 songs that are decent, but over all as an album I think it's not that great.

Billie is very talented with his lyrics, but I'm not sure I'd say no other musician matches him. For example, not many people will ever come close to Lennon-McCartney IMO, or all of Queen. Or were you talking living songwriters?

Personally I think he's the best, though yeah, there are some other good ones out there. But none of their lyrics have had the impact Billie's had on me.

Yeah I disagree. If there's a pointless song on this album, that can only go to kill the DJ and maybe troublemaker. Other than that, every song on this album has a point.

Music is subjective just cause he's not a big fan of AI doesn't make him bad or that we don't agree that Billie's lyrics are the best out of any one else doesn't make us bad or less fans Billie's lyrocs are good but there are some others who are better doesn't take away that most of GD songs are great...

Hell, Uno was the best out of the trilogy. When it finally got released and I realized not every (any?) song sounded like Oh Love I was more than thrilled.
