Makingyourmascarableed
Today, October 3rd, marks the 13th anniversary of Green Day's Warning. This was their sixth studio album that was released and came three years after the moderate success of Nimrod. It went Gold in the United States and Platinum in Canada and Australia even though that the album was a completely different turn and sound from the albums that they previously released. I don't know about any of you guys but if I had to choose a favorite Green Day album or one I could listen to 24/7, Warning will definitely be it. I didn't listen to it until about two years after it was released when I was getting into the beginning stages of becoming a Green Day fan haha. Probably my favorite song of this album is "Waiting" although, both my GDC username and my URL for Tumblr is from "Church on Sunday" which is another favorite of mine too. I would also pay so much to hear it front to back live and possibly be a puddle of mess in the process of hearing it. Anyways for all of you guys reading this: Is Warning one of your favorite albums? Did you listen to it when it was first released or did you experience it a few years after the fact? Favorite song? Favorite line or lyrics? Do you wish Green Day should play more songs from the album live even though in the last years they have played "Minority", "Macy's Day Parade", and recently "Waiting" in the later leg of the 99 Revolutions Tour? Would it be an album you would like to hear live front to back? What's your opinion on it in a general perspective? Let's take today to listen to this album once or twice or how many times you would like and appreciate the record for what it truly is.

Spike
13 years have gone so fast... Seriously though. It's an amazing album. Macy's is my funeral song. I'd love it if they played the album in full live at some point. Unfortunately it looks like we might have to wait until 2020 to hear it Have they ever done Misery live? Steven Seagull
warning live without warning! This was the first album I heard from Green Day after I get to listen to Dookie. This album got me into Green Day. "Perfection" is the word that should describe this album.

Insomniac1984
Well, This is one of my favorite GD albums nowadays. Could be in my top 3. The mix of new instruments with acoustic guitars, less distorrtion on guitars, longer songs than GD average at that time. My favorites: Waiting, Minority, Warning, Blood Sex and Booze, Church on sunday, Misery, Macy's day parade. Happy B-Day Warning!! PS: Misery was played on one of the Milton Keynes soundcheck. Fish
Warning I think has a big gap between elite songs and forgettable songs. There are some great tracks on there like the song Warning, Minority, Waiting, and Macy's Day Parade. Then there are some songs like Hold On, Jackass, and Deadbeat Holiday that I've never bothered to learn the lyrics. As a whole I think it's an above average Green Day album, probably ranking 5th for me behind American Idiot, Dookie, 21CB, and Nimrod. And FTR, I don't think there are many better LIVE Green Day songs than Minority. I could watch that performance of that song from Bullet in a Bible all day. Happy birthday Warning! Tubbie Head
I love Warning! I'm definitely going to listen to it today. Most of my top 10 songs are from this album: Deadbeat Holiday, Fashion Victim, Misery, Jackass and Minority. But I really love all the songs. And Warning is one of my favourite videos! It's funny because when I got into GD I didn't give much attention to Warning, it might have been one of the last albums I got into. But it went from being my least favourite to very close to favourite (but I don't really know what's my absolute favourite, so)
R_Z-Log
Warning is my favorite GD Album!! I guess Castaway, Jackass, Deadbeat Holiday, Blood Sex and Booze and Fashion Victim are my favorites... Ok that was pretty much almost half the album, so clearly I can't decide on a favorite haha. In my personal opinion (OPINION being the key word here), I think Warning is their most significant album. I say that because - It was pretty much a "failure" as far as sales and ratings and stuff, which caused them to *almost* call it quits. But they did NOT call it quits, and instead took a little break to have some fun (the Network), and came back with American Idiot... Well ok, they came back with Cigarettes and Valentines technically... but that doesn't count. I also think if you listen to it, and how different it is than their previous albums (especially Minority), you can tell that they really had something they were trying to say, but weren't quite sure how to go about it. They eventually figured it out and found their voice with American Idiot, but I think Warning was the start of their new political/socially aware personas. Again, just my opinion and it probably makes no sense, but whatever. Oh, and no I didn't listen to it when it first came out. I don't think I heard it until 2002 actually, because like most teens at that time, I was so far up Blink 182's butt that I didn't even realize Green Day had come out with a new album. I am shamed. DookieLukie
A low point in Green Day's career. Fairly shunned by the media. Overrated by the fan base.
