Hermione
why english people want a second leg there? South america and australia didn't get any... we deserve something Because Billie said they'd do a full UK tour, and then they put tickets for the one show they'd announced so far on sale, but because he'd promised a full tour a lot of people (such as me ) didn't buy tickets for that one show, and then because of the rehab situation everything got changed and they didn't announce any more shows. I want them to do a South American tour, an Australian tour, and the UK tour which they already said they'd do (and which it would be crazy for them not to do since they sell so many tickets here), and tour as many places as possible! Everyone just wants to see them, doesn't mean we think we're any more deserving than anyone else or that we don't want them to play other places. Brazil got a tour here in 1998 and another one only in 2010, tottalizing 8 shows.. 8 shows in 15 years... you probably got many more in every tour.. we live in a place forgotten by the great bands. Argentina is even worse.. bands think that doing a single show in Buenos Aires is a big deal.. man the contries (Brazil and Argentina) are big.. and doing only one show in a big city doesn't mean that you're attending the whole country.. inside travels aren't that cheap, so the concert tickets.. bands should look better to us and do a proper tour, cuz like the rest of the world we have some crazy fans around here that wouldn't think twice on getting a loan just to see our favorite bands... InvaderPhantom
I'm pretty sure there will be a second leg for Europe because nearly all tour stops they've made in Europe were on festivals. I'm hoping for a real stadium tour. I also think the US will get another leg because the US tour was rather short this time. However if they did second legs for both Europe and the US and maybe even go to other places the 99 Revolutions Tour hasn't touched yet like Asia, South America and Australia, all of 2013 and early 2014 will be completely full. And I'm pretty sure there will be a Dookie/American Idiot anniversary tour in 2014, that would mean they'd be touring non-stop for two years. I hope the band doesn't get burned out from all the touring. Even though I'd love to see them live again as soon as possible, I also hope the band gets a long-ish break after all that to recharge their batteries. I agree with you! The more shows in each country the better. I know I'm lucky to live somewhere that they play loads, I wish they could do the same everywhere. I think most of the time it is based on predicted ticket sales so it's just down to cost, but it would be nice to see them try out playing more different places (different countries and different cities within countries) from time to time. I guess they've already done that by playing in Russia and some other countries for the first time on this tour so who knows.
Isabel
When people say a 'fall' tour, does that mean sometime between September and December? Because if that was the case then surely it would need to be announced pretty soon with tickets going on sale? I mean, it's practically August. I just remember the last time they toured the UK, it was announced 6 months ahead.
WestboundSign!
I think they will sooner or later announce more dates for countries all over the world. We just have to be patient. I do hope they always take breaks to relax in between the tour legs, though. As much as I love to see them tour around the world, it's most important for the band to not overdo it again. But I guess they know best themselves. Anyways.. I'll take the announcement stuff as it comes. From September on, I know it will be difficult for me anyways due to school.. (final two years and no skipping possible without seeing a doctor) but I will just wait and see. No doubt about more dates after Reading and Leeds, though! James a Green Day Fan
They need to take a break but from Cuatro Billie does not like taking time off and he is still busy writing lyrics to that play for March and family. They need to do another North America Leg for the shows they cancelled and states they ignored, a second Europe leg, then a Australia and UK tour and then I think they are done. Jollyroger118
I don't think they have to do a tour for AI and Dookie in 2014, I bet we get a live album or something but a whole tour in support of an anniversary? Especially since their touring now...for three new albums. I can see them doing a mini tour I guess, maybe play the albums back to back? I'd kill to be there. Sanity Loan
When Mike said the thing about the UK seeing him more than his kids, how do we know he was pointing to another tour? Couldn't he have just been over exaggerating a little and just mean with Reading & Leeds?
pucky
Why making an anniversary tour for Dookie or American Idiot? So far they have been playing more than half of both albums. Going out to play those constantly played songs plus the other half that are left wouldn't be that big of a difference. I mean, yeah, it would be awesome to hear live things like Homecoming, or Whatsername, but as I said, they have been playing most songs of these 2 albums for the past tours, so making an anniversary tour wouldn't be so different compared to their current shows. It would be really special if it was a Nimrod tour, or an Insomniac tour, but AI and Dookie have been so overplayed that doing such thing would only wear them out even more. Yeah, honestly, I don't trust a thing any of the guys say because I think half the time they're speaking vaguely and/or people are applying way too much to their words. I won't believe something until it's on GD.com or you guys get it confirmed here. Maybe they'll wait until 2014 and make it into a Weezer-style "perform both albums" tour. TimmyChunks
that's EXACTLY what i was thinking. a Weezer style album tour. if they did it, anybody pretty much can. I don't know though...I went to the Weezer tour, and while it was fun, I felt that it was more or less a declaration that their best days were past and they were leaning a bit too much on nostalgia to sell tickets. I remember specifically hoping that Green Day wouldn't be someday relegated to playing the nostalgia scene for this very reason. Maybe I was just having an off night or a little disappointed in realizing that Weezer hadn't been able to approach the Blue/ Pinkerton material in any of their recent albums, which isn't the case with Green Day in my opinion. At any rate, I certainly hope they tour again soon, but not to play off of nostalgia for a specific album. After all, in my mind, they're still creating great new music and I want to see them to continue to push forward with new material.

jimmy182
Used to live near Milton Keynes and according to a few guys I used to go to school with, one works building scaffolding, the other for the council. The Milton Keynes bowl are putting on 3-4 big concerts next year, wouldn't surprise me if one or two of these were Green Day doing a big 20th and 10th anniversary for Dookie and AI. While this would be awesome, personally I'd rather them do a arena tour and come to the South West of England and play somewhere like the BIC because it takes ages to get up to Milton Keynes, and every big band forgets to play anywhere near me.
