But I doubt that a non-Green Day fan could name another song off Nimrod, or even tell me what album Good Riddance is off. Also, to be honest, nothing about GR is particularly groundbreaking. Big Nirvana boners they got. Not saying Dookie should have been higher, but I think Pearl Jams Ten should have been higher than Nevermind, that's for damn sure. It's been quite some time since the Rolling Stone wasn't shitty, though. Not quite as bad as Billboard or VH1, but still, pretty biased. Kinda like me. The Black Album isn't in the top 10? I've just realised In The Aeroplane Over The Sea isn't on it at all. That invalidates the entire thing even more than The Chronic being placed above OK Computer. Dookie is still relevant to Green Days shows today, everyone looks forward to hearing songs like She and Welcome to Paradise. Songs and albums that truly stand the test of time are nothing but pure quality. That's sort of the point I tried to make there. I think RS should stick to making unordered lists. Their top 50 long-songs list was great. And unordered. I think Nirvana is a grunge band. Not a Nirvana fan, as you know, but yeah, I'd still say they're grunge. Pearl Jam is a band everyone says is grunge that I wouldn't quite say is grunge, they're kinda their own genre. You have no fucking clue grunge is then lile Kurt said "we're not a grunge band" The closet thing Nirvana had ever come to grunge was Bleach and that has more to do with Endino's production than the actual music...
