RussellJohnson225
Hi! I was wondering if anyone could give me a list of any band affiliated with Green Day? And I don't mean bands like The Network, Foxboro Hottubs, or Pinhead Gunpowder, I mean like bands that are very loosely affiliated with them, or bands that sound similar to them. And it'd help if they were good bands too Thanks!
@thelibrary
Well, they had Best Coast as their opening band for the North America leg of the tour (as far as I'm aware; I could be wrong here). They were pretty good. (But Green Day was better. XD) Never heard their recorded stuff, though.

Insomniac45
Emily's Army. Billie Joe's son is the drummer. They just released a new album a few days ago as well. And they fucking rule.
Asa.
Mystic Knights of the Cobra. Lady Cobra's band. They're very...unique...I can't even tolerate some of their songs, but the more rap rock/punk songs they have are good. Edit: The Wicked Good. Jeff Matika's band. They have some great tunes, too. deletethisaccount
I think you might like this band. The singer sounds like if Billie Joe and Tom Delonge had a son.
kathhh8
Ballyhoo! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUsGkf4g-2w Howi, the singer's favourite band is Green Day. They've done a really good cover of Brainstew, and their music is really good. It's like the powerchords/pop rock sound with reggae theyre earlier stuff has more 'funk' to it too its all awesome
Ross_19
I think no one has mentioned (sorry if someone has and I'm mistaken) Zebrahead and Rise Against. And a band related to Green Day is The Influents, Jason White is in the band. Also The Big Cats, Jason White is in this band as well.
