Hmmm It looks really neat! But I'm curious to see how it will turn out. It's a little bit weird how you can't comment directly through GDA (or at least I haven't found a way to do it)... You have to click to see the topic on GDC to add a comment right?

Yeah. No plans at the moment to allow commenting directly on GDA. Mostly because what you see on GDA is actually just a simplified mirror of what's on GDC and it's not a direct link to the GDC database where all account info is stored. I programmed it this way so that it doesn't use a lot of resources loading all that extra information from the forum. Since GDA gets 10-15x the amount of traffic of GDC, if we loaded everything needed for accounts every time someone visited the site, it could potentially over-load the GDC server quite often. Instead the GDA server hits the GDC server every 2 minutes looking for the latest information, then saves it over on the other server. Which means it's only select a certain amount of posts each time with no real regard to account information.

Oh I think it's a good idea! :) It's nice how GDA and GDC now complement each other and feels like they really belong together now!

I just hope that it doesn't mean GDC will be down more often!

I'm surprised there hasn't been an increase in WTP threads today. The newcomers will arrive eventually, whether they like it or not!

There's not vague teasing at all  I actually mean we won't really get new members until they actually have a good enough reason to post on news.

:P

Yeah, they might think they don't care, until something relevant comes up, and they have no voice anymore. Then it becomes self-inflicted censorship, knowing that there is an option.

On the other hand, I thought that the Hot Topic article was life changing and perspective shifting. Now that is some quality news.

Yay this means I'm not banned from posting comments on GDA anymore :) :)

GDA doesn't work on IE. At least not from my work computer. All the green headers are listed on the left over all the articles.

Andres is still working on updating all the sections of GDA to the new design. That section might not have been done yet.

I like the idea of linking the forum and the website. It's a bit hard to read on the main website though, especially when reading a quoted post (it doesn't say who wrote the original post). I think it would be better if the "40 Comments" link at the top of each post on the homepage took you directly to the forum (Instead of going into the post, needing to scroll all the way down, THEN going to the forum.)

Daaaaang, fancy new GDC theme! I'm liking it, once again it just looks fresh and new. Might take a wee bit of getting used to but I really like what I'm seeing.

I wish the top dashboard didn't move when you scroll. Also, I think you guys should include the old one, this one, the light one, and the mobile one for our choosing :P
