They might have learned a thing or two from that, though? Like (I hate even bringing it up sry sry) staying healthy on the side.

Wasn't someone just saying a few pages back that recovering alcoholics can't dabble in recreational drinking/smoking because there's a high chance they'll take it too far. By the same logic, I doubt the guys would have learned from the past times they went too far. You don't realize you're going down the same dark path until it's too late.

Not comparable by a long shot & you know it. :toocool:

How do you know Billie isn't on prescription drugs again? We didn't know he was on stuff in 2010 until he said so well after, we also didn't know he was on stuff in 2013 until after his super meltdown. Both tours there were obvious signs the man wasn't okay, which fans chose to ignore until it was too late. Looking at his track record, this is VERY comparable.

Dude, fangirls are irrational. Logic doesn't work with them.

Not sure I would compare kicking a serious addiction to exploring your body's general physical limitations. I see what you mean but did they really collectively crash and burn after 21CB? I wasn't around so can't say. One thing is Billie going off the rails but presuming he's actually following that logic and staying 100% sober I don't really see the connection.

You can prove anything with facts, can't you?!

Why presume he IS though?? And where are the signs now? I see the happiest, most relaxed (and not to mention healthiest) man on earth.

Alrighty well I have a story to tell about this photo. I had an 8x10 glossy of this on my wall at some point during my teen years and my mom once walked in, inspected this photo closely, and murmured under her breath "hmm, that water must be cold" I wanted to DIE.

Ok I've been busy and am trying to catch up. I would love some clarification on some things

1) What was the rant about Steve Jobs? I never heard of this before.

2) I feel like a couple of people are insinuating that Billie might be either spiraling downward as far as his mental health or using again. Instead of just referring to past events, can you please explain what you're basing this on currently?

Mods: I know this is kind of an off-limits topic but I would really like to know where this is coming from out of concern for Billie.

@sherribomb is the one to ask, she has a knack for analyzing their performances and recognizing when Billie is very off his game.

Nothing, probably. For the Steve Jobs thing just google the RS interview, it's there.

The answer is simple - it invokes a desirable reaction.

So are you denying that addicts have a habit of falling back into their old habits? In which case I was right, Billie was high in that video. It's perfectly okay for him to drink and smoke as he likes because there is no chance of him falling back into his old harmful rituals, case dismissed we can all go home.

Looking back through the past couple of months of posts in this thread, it seems clear that there aren't enough posts about Mike (although there can never be enough of Billie ;)). So here's a few of my favourite posts of Mike from the tour:

I was at the front of the catwalk in Dallas and when Mike came down for one of his solos I did a heart at him with my hands and he put the head of his bass in the heart and touched my hand.

Because these are our favorite guys and we care about them? I was just raising my concerns about the upcoming US tour which I honestly think should be put off for a few months. I mean jeez, did anyone hear how god awful he sounded at Hyde Park?

He's a good talker though. His videos would be great.

Yes, Mike is a good talker, to say the least he's got a constructed speech - although I find Billie's typical "y'know" to have a bit rubbed off on him with years . For anyone listening to Green Day in an interview, Mike is always the proof that there is someone in this band that can behave normally.

Nevertheless, I really think Billie is an awesome talker, even though awesomeness often sticks to awkwardness in his speech. Brilliant expressions I hear now and then, put in a simple wording, coming out from a messy whole. In my opinion, the Instagram live videos do not do justice to Billie in this matter!

Kinda like how Billie knew when he needed to stop mixing prescription drugs with alcohol? From what I remember his managers had to step in and pull the plug.

Yeah his managers aka people who know him. Not fans who think they're capable of or have any business analyzing his health and prescribing treatment despite being strangers to him.

We don't speculate about Billie's private life here. Stop please.

I still don't see how going on about a potential relapse or burnout is constructive. And honestly he sounded fine to me?

I read that RS interview..Billie said "He were sorry he said that about S.Jobs" and He didn't wasn't himself when he got that meltdown"

and I didn't think he was on Drug..but taking alot of sleeping/anxiety pills and drinking too much..that is reason for meltdown..2012

why are we talking about Billie's past trouble..again?

Ok, this video is from about 5 years ago, correct? I asked for CURRENT evidence. My point being, that if someone has a genuine concern, please bring forth current and relevant facts or drop it. What evidence do you have that Billie is currently using or not in a good mental state? And puffy eyelids don't count. If that was the case, I would constantly be accused of being high.
