I get what you mean, I'm sometimes a bit worried if they rest enough too, but on the other hand it's so great so see how much they want to be out there with us and how much fun they have. And I think they are more energetic than ever right now although they are "old dudes", so it's really not a question of age. Look at Mick Jagger 45 isn't that old, if you're only working an average fulltime job and spending most of your time at home. Being on the road takes a lot out of you, it's constant traveling and constant chaos. Also, Mick Jagger is an awful example because he's looked dead for like 20 years. There's no reason they need to do another full tour of America 4 months after they just did one. They should be taking some time off until like December, properly recoup and then come back and hit. North and South America.
Hermione
Or we could trust them to decide how much rest they need for themselves. I think they probably know what they need better than we do.

I wish they'd been asked more than 11 questions though as it was a brilliant idea for an interview. Thats more of a reference to not doing well in school than Billie actually not being able to read haha
IcyMoffatt
Yes I know. It's just people who dropped out of school usually don't like to spend time with books because for many of them books = school. Anyway, Billie loves reading biographies.
herewegoagain
It would be funny if Billie actually couldn't read and has just been faking it for decades. Jakob: I bought a book BJ: Oh a book? Jakob: Yeah, I've never read it, pretty excited BJ: Pretty cool ... BJ: I've got a couple of books... That one. And that one. *shifty look* *adjusts glasses* That's why he finds technology so challenging.

LoL I'm not good at explaining my ideas. Sorry! Back at fangirling now! I got it. He talked about Who Wrote Holden Caufield once and said they were assigned Catcher in the Rye in school but he didn't read it (and resented being forced to read anything) but then said he later did read it on his own which I think takes a lot more initiative, to read a school book when you don't have to. It shows you can take a kid who seems unmotivated and lazy and put him in a different environment and he can be pretty damn hardworking and intellectually curious. Our educational system really fails our kids.

LoL I'm not good at explaining my ideas. Sorry! Well, I don't agree , I perfectly understand the way you explain ! I've been wondering too how is Billie's ease in reading. Still, in Forever Now he says "I've never learned to read and write so well "... "so well" and not "at all". I think the word "learn" is also meaningful. It doesn't equal to "know" how to read! Anyway, I've always been amazed by the emotion in Billie's songwriting, despite using quite simple words. The "words" theme is also recurring in his songwriting. It's like he reappropriates the words he "didn't learn to read an write so well" and he gives them this great depth and power. I was always good at reading and writing, yet Billie expresses my thoughts and feelings better than I myself am able to...

Yes I had noticed Mike's looks at Billie I love it too when Billie is losing himself, as you say, all better now 'cause he's doing it full-minded, no doubt about it ; I've seen it with my own little eyes and was blown away more than I could tell, by his joy and his passion. Last time not a month ago! Even videos like this one show it. Despite of all the times I want to hold him, I've never seen someone as radiant as the one Billie is today. I think that was one of the best performances of American Idiot I've ever seen. And in the GIF, he reminds me of a dog getting out of a lake and shaking himself off. Running with shears
This tour has been going for a while but it's a more relaxed tour than they would have done in their youth. They only do a few shows a week so there is time to relax and see the sights. And when they do have shows two or three days in a row it's because the locations are close: they were in Dallas and then Houston the next night. Coming up in September Austin then San Antonio the next night. They've been doing for a very long time and have learned how to not burnout on the road the way they did during earlier tours. Also, while watching the fan shot videos, I am so glad that I cannot be heard singing in the videos my brother took. Well shouting and screaming fits more than singing but still...
