Don't mock Kevin, he can do no wrong.  The superior acting skills more than make up for lack of hair.

I actually think Mike and Brit have a far more romantic relationship.  I just adore watching the two of them together.  While I don't agree that Billie and Adi's relationship seems professional, I can understand how someone can see that.

I like Kevin! And I like the Underwoods too, they are the first thing that comes to mind when someone says "professional relationship" though.

As to Billie and Adi, they mostly keep things more private which is ok by me. Most couples don't do the "look how cute we are together" thing after 20+ years.

Oh good, Kevin is a God.  I've been in love since Keyser Soze.  But yes, Frank and Clare most definitely have a working relationship.

No, I agree, they do keep things to themselves.  And clearly their relationship works very well for them.   It is beautiful because they clearly love each other and work hard to be together for so many years.  I know how hard that is.  I just don't think what we are shown seems overly romantic.  But then again, people would say the same thing about hubby and me as well.  We actually belong to the same gym and ignore each other when we are there.

Do you know what I think is one of the most romantic things a band member has done?  Remember when Sara and Tre joined a book club??  Like Tre really reads.  The fact that he was willing to do that for her is what I think is romantic.

The three couples are very romantic in their own way. Billie and Addie are so adorable together, love that they're more private, but when they actually share something about them is just the cutest/romantic thing ever, and I'm sorry but there's nothing more romantic than your husband of many years still writes songs about/for you. Mike and Britt are more like a young couple, Britt likes to share a lot of stuff and that's ok, cause they have such a beautiful marriage and they clearly care a lot for each other. And Sara and Tré are obviously made for each other, they're big dorks and very awesome people and I think Sara makes him act a little more "human" lol. Also, you can't ask for a couple of 20+ Years to be or act exactly like a couple of 10-4 Years :P

All of them are just so amazing and goals

Considering I am a couple of 20+ years I fully understand how they act and nor do I expect them to act the same way.

I first noticed him in House Of Cards a couple years ago, he's incredible.

Now that I'm thinking about it, you're right. I don't pay much attention to things like that but yeah, it's not that romantic. The things is, that we're actually shown very little ever since they stopped posting sexy pictures on Instagram. (Which wasn't really romantic either :P ) What we see usually has something to do with business or charity, they just aren't out there doing cute stuff for the world to see I guess.

I didn't know about that! That's really nice.

Yes, I think we seem to agree on what is attractive and romantic.  I know this was a few pages back, but I agree with you on that picture.  I didn't find that picture sexy or attractive either.  There was something very oedipal about it.  However, we do not know what is behind closed doors, their relationship works very well for them and that is beautiful in itself.

You have seen The Usual Suspects????

Hahaha oedipal is the correct word to describe it.

Yes! It's was on TV a while ago so I watched it because I had nothing better to do, it was really good.

When it comes to Billie and Adrienne being romantic, I will never, ever get over the fact that he sent her 1000 roses for her birthday

See that is where we differ.  I don't see anything romantic about that.  To me that was not only a huge waste of money (I know that is not a concern for him) but seriously how the hell do you take care of 1,000 roses and where do you put them.  I thought it was more romantic that he donated a guitar for Project Chimps.  That is something she is really passionate about and he supported her on it.

So everyone has different opinions on what's romantic and what not so we will never agree on that, I guess :P

Yes, I find nothing romantic about money.  Anyone can spend money and buy a gift.  It's easy.

I will add an oldie but goodie

It's not just about money. It's about a huge, over-the-top gesture that was completely unnecessary to keep her on her toes about how much he still loves her after being married for 20+ years.

I bet whatever flower shop he bought them from was very happy about it too!

Yes, but we all have our opinions on what is romantic.  I view the over the top gestures as not only trying too hard but also way too easy.  Like I said, anyone can spend money.  I find romance in the small gestures, because sometimes they are harder than the over the top ones.

That's what I was thinking when I saw that photo. WTH do you do with so many flowers and yes, I also thought it was kind of too lavish. I'm all for "let's go bath in champaigne just because we can" kind of decadence but this isn't my thing.

On another note, he once mentioned they go dumpster diving together

See we are on the same track!!!

I absolutely find that they go dumpster diving together way more romantic than 1,000 roses.  I mean you really have to love someone to go digging through trash for them.  Now the big question, why are they dumpster diving?

Anyway, I just wanted to say that they guys looks soooo gorgeous on that Green Day: The Early Years videos  I have to watch those a couple of times cause I can't stop fangirling about how beautiful they look haha.

Yes!

Having someone you can do weird stuff with is important, I mean, being able to share weird hobbies or strange jokes with someone is extremely bonding in my opinion.

They do it because it's fun.  It really is, I've done it - in pursuit of antique furniture and home accessories, and found some really cool stuff that way.

Coming up on 20 years for me and the Mr  and I  would appreciate the occasional  over the top gesture. Not because he has to -- I'm not going anywhere , but  because I think  you should surprise  your spouse  every so often. Big and small surprises.

Just to stay on topic, I kinda miss Billie's old teeth.

Totally agree, big and small. I was not saying it was the only way to be romantic or that it needed to be like that every time.

I agree.  Grand romantic, but unexpected, gestures just make you feel good and appreciated.

I think Billie and Adie are adorable.  They are not showy but they really are sweet to each other.  To stay married that long in that industry is admirable.  Im sure hasn't been all sunshine and roses.
