The Green Day Fangirls' Confessions Thread

I totally fangirl over the relationship the guys have with each other.  And when they interact with each other's kids.  It just makes me feel warm and fuzzy.  They truly are a family.

Especially Mike and Billie.  I just love those two.  What a special bond. ❤

Is this sarcasm? That coat with the fur is awful! Lol

... i do like the shoes though...

I don't think it's ugly but it could have less fur.

Just more proof that I am Billie's favorite fan.  I, of course, got my pumpkin striped shirt and he surprised me with the leopard print tie.  He is such a dear.

He looked and sounded so damn good last night.

Can you ask him to bring back the striped pants for Saturday? Asking for a friend.

The coat is nice but I thought it looks way too big or loose fitting for him.

Otherwise wholeheartedly agree with @MMwhatsername. The joy they radiate onstage and through their music is honestly what keeps me going these days.

Edit: well that sounds a bit sad but what I mean is I love them so much and seeing them so happy makes me feel physically warm inside in a way I can hardly recall feeling for anyone or anything in my real life. Ok, still pretty sad but I hope you get me :wub:

I'm loving that picture @MMwhatsername has posted above, and I can't get enough of all of these posts showing GD being so happy during the tour. Not only is Rev Rad one of my favourite GD albums, and I've seen them live for the 1st time, but all of these pictures of the boys smiling, laughing, and embracing each other at the end of the gigs just makes this era get better and better. The bond between them is so strong and they have so much love and respect for each other as human beings. When you go to a gig, not only do you go there so that you can have a good time, you also go to a gig to see the BAND have a good time. That's what happened at my gig as not only did I have such a good time but GD seemed to be enjoying it every bit as much as the fans. I can't recall seeing any band smile as much during a gig as what GD did at Leeds.

As I said in my concert review that was posted on GDA, the renewed positive and intimate vibe is really the first thing I noticed at the Columbus show and it was the same, perhaps even better, a month later in Detroit. I'm really interested in seeing how that will translate to an arena show, but it sounds like it doesn't impact the experience at all, which is good to hear.

I know I sound like a snob saying this, but I kind of forget what arena shows are like... I haven't been to one since my first show in 2013! :P

I hadn't been to an arena show since my first show in 2009 so I was the same haha, happened to be that every one since then was a different size to any other. I found it was amazing, and also not that different to the 3000 and 5000 capacity shows I'd been to since once you're in position the number of thousand people behind you doesn't really matter :P

Billie's giant coat is hilarious :P. But Mike and Billie are adorable.

I has been a long time since I posted here! I think that I posted more at the beginning of the thread. I liked reading your posts in the last pages. I will see Green Day in a few days and I can't wait! :runaround: It's great to see them having fun. It seems to be a great tour for them!

I agree with all that's been said in the last few posts, and that IG of Uncle Billie with Brixton is just adorable.  (Billie in that grey jacket!!!)  Billie is such a natural with kids, the video from the other night with the little kid playing guitar is really touching, what a great guy!  It must say something about his ego that he's so pleased when kids/ people invited on stage do well, he doesn't push them, let's them come to him if they want to hug him etc, really admirable........ sorry rambling now, blame the huge quantities of cold medication

Seriously, the only thing that disturbs me about Billie's nudes is the way they reveal how funnily short his legs are.

I mean I'll settle for just guyliner, but if he's taking REQUESTS now, I'm going to be picky. Black shirt, red tie, striped pants, etc. :P

The DCU Center has a seating capacity of about 15K and it was sold out.  It was amazing how he can make an arena that big feel like a private show.  Pretty much everyone was on their feet the entire show.  At one point, Billie pointed to the upper deck and told them to stand that everyone stands.  So, the man is really scanning the entire arena make sure everyone is having an experience.  That is just amazing.

I can understand people not liking GD's music, or not even liking Billie as a person.  But I seriously do not understand how anyone cannot think he is one of the best frontman ever.  He is absolutely mesmerizing on stage, to the point you cannot take your eyes off of him.  He commands the stage from the moment he gets on to the moment he leaves.    And makes sure the entire audience, no matter what the size gets their monies worth.  Just an unbelievable performer.

I will try my best.  I'm pretty sure he had guyliner on on Friday.  It was hard to tell, I was close, but not that close.  I was in the first section off the floor and my seat was slightly before the end of the catwalk.

At the last show when he told that kid "never smash a guitar",  and then turned around and shushed the audience--hilarious!

If he dyed his hair blonde for the Oz tour you might just have a house guest.

I would do anything for this to happen.

Which reminds me - I entered a competition to win tickets to U2 in LA.  Not because I like U2 but it will get me half way to you:D

Nice coat and shoes. His fashion choices have improved so much over the years.

They do have a stylist now but I like to think that he put these outfits together himself.  His concert outfits seem like his choice because  Guys: This looks good. I will wear it EVERY SINGLE DAY!"

He's allowed to wear the necessary amount of clothes when it's too cold, but they should look nice.
