I'm jelly of Europe for the amount of festivals they are getting.  You learn in OZ when  a favourite band/sporting team etc is here you better make the most of it.  They don't come around often due to our flight times/time zone crap.

Oddly, while most bands make their way to Chicago, it's not always and not often.  Like we're in the middle of nowhere (okay about the middle of the country) and certainly not as exciting as either coast.

Really I thought Chicago was a happening place😜

Don't you like how I can change every thread to random thoughts😛

Chicago is a happening place but the coasts are more happening.  NYC and LA - we just can't compete.  For whatever reason.  I feel like a lot of bands, including Green Day, whom I fangirl over (!) start their tours here to, what, get their feet wet before they are comfortable with their tour and shows.  So not always the best of shows but I will not complain as I'm always happy when they play in my hometown.

Random topic but kind of a fangirling thing to think about: Can you imagine how excited Billie was to get home to his dogs in Oakland? THATS something I'd like to see video of. He loves his dogs so much.

@neverdone2000 Thank you for that very cute image.

I know they love touring, but it must feel so good to be home after a long time away, back to their kiddos and pets. Even if you're away doing what you love, it's still hard to be away from home for long spans of time.

Now that is something very nice to wake up to

It's 3 pm :o

(Nice to see someone wakes up later than me haha)

I think it's only now that I fully appreciate The Tattoo. I usually don't like script tattoos but this is worth making an exception.

Haha it's 2 pm here and I would normally be up earlier but I'm back to work tonight and I work 10 hour night shifts.

I absolutely love that tattoo, I can't believe I saw a little bit of it in the flesh

I love The Tattoo, I'd like to get a little script tattoo myself (not as visible as Billie's), but knowing me I'll never be able to decide on what to get, so it'll never happen. :P

I don't need more than one and I'm beyond happy but...dammit, you know?

I know. I'm also really thankful and happy I could see them on this tour, but at the same time I want more :P I agree with what has already been said, it's always different and worth it. So, come :ga: (I know it's not as easy as that to make it happen, but I believe you won't regret it if you decide to go )

I liked the tattoo (sorry, The Tattoo) even better when I for a while thought it only said Be Silently (stop covering yourself up Billie!), it resonates with me even better that way.

Never really was a tattoo person but Green Day make me want one, would need to be carefully considered though. It's totally biased but I love how casual Billlie's in particular appear; just splash a bunch of bright colours and silly symbols all over your arms, and still make it look badass.

I can't believe its been week since I went to Leeds to see GD :(. When the lights came on and GD ran onto the stage I shouted ''oh my God'' when I saw Billie!!!! It seemed unreal that it WAS actually him after all these years of waiting to see a GD concert!! Also, the last t-shirt that he fired into the crowd landed about 30 foot in front of me in the level below. The person who got it was directly in line with me!!! If only it travelled another 30 foot....

I bet he was looking forward to seeing his dogs. But you've just reminded me of that video that he posted of them on his Instagram last year which was gross: they were licking his face.. who knows what they were licking before they licked his face (their butts)  :bad:

For me it was both cute and disgusting in equal measures. It was cute when the dog was licking his face... but when it then started licking his lips

It's one of those things that's pretty disgusting in theory but the total cuteness of dogs comes in the way. My old dog never was much of a cuddler, but he did enjoy licking my feet every chance he got :lol:

I like how Billie flinched slightly when it went for his neck, I wonder if he's ticklish

And another example of how much he loves those dogs! 😂😂😂 Seriously though, it would be hard to find a man more in love with his pooches. That IG account he started about Mojo, just absolutely precious.

I just can't take him seriously as a "regular guy":lol:

It was actually weirdly easy to take him seriously as a normal guy in Ordinary World. Like, VERY easy. I think because he's kinda clumsy and dorky in real life, he just slipped right into that role lol.

Yeah that I don't doubt (just ordered the dvd :runaround:), I guess I meant more like your average mainstream semi-cool dude. Not being dorky doesn't suit him

He's not dorky in full rock god mode for me, although he doesn't project the arrogance some do, maybe that's his inner dork still shining through!  No, I don't think he's dorky at all in most of their performances.  Not mentioning the kazoo though.

I do think it can shine through, in the sense that knowing what he's "really" like only adds another layer to the excitement. If that makes sense. But overall I stand corrected, he is a rock god  Maybe it's his toeing the actor water that throws me off

Have you seen him dance on stage? I think he does it in a joking way but it's full on dorkiness at it's best. LOL
