One of my favourite things in life is seeing pictures of Billie hugging fans! He holds on really tight and just looks so happy and cute and asdfghjkl

You won't stand out. There were quite a few people at my show that must have been at least as old as my mom or older. Some of them were with families, others on their own/with friends.

This, I've been at shows with GD fans aged from teens to sixties and everything in between, not to mention there's even children there. It says "ALL AGES" on Billie's arm and that's really what they are.

I wanted to like this many many times!

I dream of this moment a lot! I had few dreams the past couple of months about hugging him so tight! I love hugs.

If only that day comes!

I see nothing - might be because I can't take my eyes off that beautiful face. It's distracting :P

I just remembered something else about Mike when I met him. I was kind if delirious so it slipped my mind, but when I asked him to take the picture, he said something like "Okay, let's get the pretty view behind us on the picture" and the view WAS pretty, only problem is that the sun was directly behind us, making the picture unrecognizable. I wanted to point that out but I was way too happy and excited. Well our first picture was unrecognizable but at least we got the pretty view Mike wanted :D He's a dork

EEK Can't believe how close it is!! I'm starting to freak out a bit. I'm in standing and scared I'm going to end up right at the back! I'm kind of glad I have a seat on Wednesday as I won't have to worry about queuing

I'm not freaking out as much as what I thought I would be. I guess that's because most of my week has been consumed by being at work, travelling to/from work, eating and sleeping. There's only been a couple of times when I've started to freak out. I'll be on my own in the arena so I'll have to make sure I don't get too overexcited. I've got a seated ticket but I'm still worried about having someone tall in front of me...having said that I've worried about just about everything else that I could possibly worry about leading up to the gig

I'm worse than I thought I would be . I finished work on Thursday morning (as I work nights) and I'm now off for the next week so I've had time to start freaking out  my biggest fear is not getting a decent view since I'm quite short. I'd be gutted if I got there and couldn't see anything. I can't start queuing till Sunday morning either

For those shorties out there, as I've got older and squeezing in at the front becomes too painful, I've honed my technique to letting everyone settle and then getting myself off to one side so I am looking through folks, usually about their shoulder height, it works but you don't get very close, it's all a balance.  I couldn't bear to be seated at a Green Day show and need plenty of space, you can still gave a great time slightly further out.  Only problem I would say is that crowds have got very rude and keep wondering in and out these days, I wish they would close the bars etc while the bands are on, oh and why do folk go to a show to talk, go to the pub for gods sake!

I'll definitely keep that in mind if I end up further back :). Sunday night is going to be my first time seeing Green Day even though I've been a fan for 23 years (lots of things got in the way unfortunately) so I'm hoping to get as close to the front as I can but I have no idea what its going to be like so I'm nervous and excited all at the same time

Yeah apart from when I've been right at the front I've used this technique too (even quite close there's often people's heads in the way, and even in quite rough parts you can find good angles to look through). This time I've also copied Billie and got some shoes a bit like his with extra thick soles for an extra height boost

Haha I have a pair of shoes with extra thick soles as well, I may have to wear them
