The best part is him just giving up and saying "I have no idea" at the end.

I hadn't listened to it all the way through before this morning and then I did and lost my shit.

I recently found an old journal from my 9th grade English class in 1998/1999 (so I guess I was 14), and one of the topics that we had to write about was what three things we would bring on a desert island. One of my answers was "I'd bring Nimrod by Green Day because it's the best album EVER, but I'd also make sure to have the little book that goes with the CD because there are pictures of the band in there and I like to look at them" hahahahaha. I was cracking up when I read that. :D

I'm glad you're all enjoying it. See, occasionally my tumblr dash comes up with relatively amusing things.

My dad likes to throw away old magazines etc. very quickly. My RS "road back from hell" copy is lying on my book shelf and he hasn't laid a finger on it.

Probably because he knows I'd go crazy. I remember this time I recorded the Irving Plaza gig highlights on TV, and I didn't delete the recording when I was done. Again, something my dad would get rid of pretty quickly. But he didn't because he was scared that I, in his words, "would get rid of" him.

Oh, and also... When my Husband was in high school he dyed his hair blonde because Billie Joe did lol. So that's his "fangirl" story, and I'm sharing it for him :D

Oh you will, believe me. :) When I first saw them, it was at the soundcheck of the Lisbon concert in 2009... I got in there, I heard Billie singing before seeing them, I started crying immediately and it was this amazing feeling of "they are here, in front of me, they exist!" I cried so much

I know what you mean. Ive only seen Green Day once, earlier this year. I had been a fan of them for 2 or 3 years so actually seeing Billie, Mike, and Tre (dont get me wrong i like the Jasons and Jeff too) i reacted like you did (i just didnt cry though). The main point for me was that i was seeing the people i listen to every day infront of me. Seeing them made me think about all the things they went through over the years (especially with Billie and rehab) that allowed me to be standing a few feet infront of them. Im not gay or anything but it was a really emotional moment for me.

Fangirling bigtime today. I've been watching videos from Lisbon and Locarno, looks like Billie's gone back to the AI hair and guy liner! I literally squeaked when I saw it. And how the fuck does he still look twenty-five?!!! I keep dragging my co-workers over to my desk to show them the videos and they are like "yeah sure he looks good for his age", they don't seem very impressed but I am awed by it.

I remember once in school, I went with my friend to his lame club thing and they were voting for class president. So, as my way of rebelling and being a jerk I wrote down "Billie Joe Armstrong" on my piece of paper. They were not pleased.

Ha ha....... She is definitely sick of Green Day. It's probably annoying when your mom's a fangirl!
