it's my all time favorite so I'm all for it! I'm sure it would suit them well, it's so classy and attractive at the same time. As if he wasn't really trying.

That's a good way of saying it,  the look seems effortless, and I like that it has a punky edge to it, with the slim flooded  pants that he likes, that keeps it more modern looking. This look would even work with his eyeliner too, that would be quite sexy.  Mike and Tre would both look great like this too, and it wouldn't have to all be matchy matchy, just in a subtle way.

Ok, since SWMRS are finishing up their tour in California, I guessed there would be Billie Joe sightings. And here's the first fan picture to pop up on Instagram. Nerdy Billie, 100 A+ Handsome.  His eyes, wow, gorgeous.  And that tattoo...:wub:anyway  A couple things I notice, let me know if I'm wrong. #1: His lovely blonde hair is getting long,  look at how  it's over his ears now. I don't think he's had it cut since the Gilman Dookie tribute in February...He's up to something with that. He's growing it out, hence all the hats...for that "in-between stage" we've all dealt with. That and unruly curls. Maybe the new 'do unveiling is planned for the Geezer premiere?? Longer, blonde with the dark roots, straightened (or curly?) How gorgeous if that's so. What do you think?

#2 Is it camera angles or has he been losing weight?   Just curious what you think, to me he's perfect no matter what :wub::wub:

Yeah he most definitely lost some weight. looks great.

OK I thought so too. I noticed it the last few pictures we've seen of him, but I wasn't sure.  I agree, he looks great.

Wow, I had to lift these  off the instagram thread and be the pathetic fangirl that I am.  He looks so damn beautiful!  It's amazing to me the way he can make a crappy fan selfie look like it was taken in a photoshoot for the cover of Rolling Stone or something., and still be a nerd too. Also, from the second picture under the Rolling Stone one,  I'm now convinced  about the hair situation, because you can see it' definitely long in the back, it 's kind of  fluffy and it covers his neck now. And the dark roots are coming in in the first picture. So hot.

He didn't really have any weight to lose.  He is probably getting bacj into shape to prep for the tour and has more muscle mass

Yeah, that's probably it, he looks more toned. I figured he's be working out for the tour so that makes sense.   I  knew he looked different somehow. His face looks a little thinner than over the winter to me, too though. All I know is he looks fantastic!!

The worst part about being a Green Day fangirl is that I'm a 20 year old straight guy and some people just can't accept that.  I was on a date the other day and it all went downhill when I started talking about how hot Billie is, made worse when I tried to justify it by saying 'older guy hot'.  But he seems like a really genuinely nice guy, and very real.  I like that.

That is completely understandable! That's the magic of Billie Joe. :)He really does seem like a genuinely nice, real person.

He must be, he took so many pictures with fans at the SWMRS concert on Saturday. That was really nice of him to take the time to do that when he was really just there to see his kid perform.   To me, that is the most beautiful thing about him, how kind , humble, and real  he is, despite his massive talent and success.

I agree with this.  One of the most attractive things about him is that with all his success, he still almost views himself as an outsider, like he doesn't belong amongst the other musicians that are really his peers.  The fact that he can give so much respect to other musicians but does not see the respect he is given by these same musicians is charming.

That's exactly it, it would be so easy for him to just ignore people because he's famous, or be moody about it and just do it for the PR.  But it seems like he spends time indulging fans because he really wants to.

I think he wants to because he realizes that he would not have such a great life and career if it weren't for the fans.  He appreciates us.  I have always felt that he shares so much with us that he treats us more like friends he has never met than fans.  It is a nice feeling to think we are just not a cash cow to him.

It's nice and it's so rare. So many rich and famous Hollywood types are just jerks! Also I appreciate they way he interacts with fans because I think he's shy so it's not like it comes naturally for him; he has to make an effort.

He just called himself a proud papa. I officially can't.

I thought the same thing.  Damn that was so freakin' cute.

For your birthday present, I will try and get you Joey's number when I go to Geezer.

I'll probably drop dead when he has grandchildren. And I am aware this sounds like some creepy tumblr post.

I think this is a really big bit of the attraction for me and what the guys are saying when an interviewer asks them about commitment and longevity, and they say well, we live in Oakland etc etc, it's that they are grounded, know the value of people and things and are close to friends and family and can still relate to people.  I think many bands/songwriters are so removed from the real world that the rest of us have no idea what they are going on about and if they lose us, they can't find us again.  I get that they are multi-millionaire rock stars butI need them to care or I don't/can't.  I also think age is irrelevant.

Confession: I had a dream about Billie Joe last night. Usually when he's in my dreams it's young Billie Joe, playing music. But this one was current Billie Joe. He had black hair. But I can't remember what he did!  I just know it was nice.

Wish I could remember my dreams better.

I'm almost 28 and STILL cry every time I see them live. I guess they just bring back lots of memories for me as they've been a BIG part of most of my life. And when I was a young teen, yes I was a fangirl. A massive one.

I do get strange looks at the concerts hahaha :dance:Cant help it!
