I don't know why but every time I try to rotate it I can't save it. Soooo sorry about that! But you get the point.

Where did you get that picture of Billie Joe?

I found it on Instagram! Someone posted it... I think it's from last night when he played with the Replacements.

Tbh, I could cry all along the live. Because I wish to be there so HARD. I missed them in Lisbon/Nîmes last year and having them like 300miles above where I was was so frustrating !!!

They really give everything till the end, they, I, omg

And as you said, the songs like Good Riddance etc are really too much, I can't contain my tears.

Fangirl Mystical Experience

Carrie Underwood and the Notre Dame leprechaun currently watch Brandon and I have sex. He needs to get over it. Some people clearly have it worse.

I'm clearly failing at decorating... I ripped my Green Day poster when I took it down from my old bedroom and I haven't bought a new one yet. Thanks for reminding me! :)

We have a full wall in our basement of framed Green Day posters and Rolling Stone covers, but nothing Green Day related anywhere else on the walls in the house :ermm:

I can understand this stuff to a certain extent, I was ashamed to change in front of a poster identical to that 1994 Rolling Stone cover when I was 12.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sometimes it's 1:30 a.m. and I find myself watching YouTube videos of adorable Billie in a cowboy hat, wondering when the fuck they're ever going to tour again...

That's normal, right?

I'm not even drunk.

But seriously, when do you think we can realistically expect any sort of live performances again? I was hoping for them to capitalize on the anniversary tour thing, but obviously that's not going to happen. The only thing I'm expecting in the near future is a possible hall of fame induction/performance next spring. Which would happen to be in Cleveland, I believe. Which means I will shell out any amount of money to see it.

God, why am I thinking about this right now? #fangirl

I don't know. But, from two years I've been on this forum, I can say that you can expect anything from fangirls, so this what you're doing is pretty normal, innit?

Define "normal..." Normal for us, but probably not normal for most humans, I'd say. I'm just going through severe Green Day live performance withdrawal. They're like a drug. One show about a year and a half ago, and I was instantly hooked with no means to satisfy my craving since... sadness.

Well I plan on going to the actual induction ceremony if it's in Cleveland, even if I have to buy super expensive tickets off of StubHub or whatever (I even have permission from my man, so therefore nothing is stopping me!!!), but if you all manage to get tickets too you're welcome to crash at my place that night! :D I'm about an hour outside of Cleveland.

P.S. You may not want to quote the video I posted... the mods will get angry!

I will sit online and hit the damn refresh button till I get tickets to that. We are going. There is no way we will be missing it.

And yes, I will drag Bruno's ass to Cleveland too.

And if the band sneaks through the damn underground tunnels or randomly opens the show again...

God, that hot pink taped guitar... it was right behind those walls... just a few hundred feet away from us. He was rocking black and pink, and I couldn't see it. I'm ashamed of myself.

But yes, seriously, my Brandon already said we're going if it's in Cleveland, so the four of us sure as hell are getting tickets and watching our boys make history! I've never even been to the HOF, so after they get in then I want to go see it.

To think we were right down the street.

Why does Cleveland hate us so?

They'll just stare at us as we fangirl harder than we've ever fangirled before.

It's absolutely normal, at least with the GDCers. I wouldn't expect any sort of live performance besides the hall of fame introduction until Britt is ok and a new album is out.

I just had this fantasy of Billie Joe playing Hedwig on Broadway. Michael Mayer is the director, it's about a punk star (albeit a drag German one). I think he could totally pull off the role, and he's on break from Green Day right now, so why not? Gahhh I would freak. Now, how do I recommend this to Michael Mayer? I wonder if it has even crossed his mind? Andrew Rannells just replaced NPH. It's a really tough part but NPH studied Bowie and Iggy Pop in preparation, and there's a lot of rough improv, it's a loose show choreography wise, and I just think it could be something BJA could actually pull off (and I normally would never give him that much credit  )
