Yeah , he happened to come over to right in front of where we were standing playing guitar and did like a slow nod to us when he saw us waving, looked very majestic. It's nice being on Mike's side as well but I'm more than happy being on Jason's, he's sweet :D

I'd think that people would be a little more shovey on Mike's side because it's Mike, you know?

And Jason is an absolute doll.

Yeah if it's a show where you have easy access to either side when you enter the venue then as soon as you get in there you see Mike's side is way more crowded. If you don't mind which one of them you're in front of it's great because you can head to Jason's side and be nearer the front, and I assume have slightly less people trying to push forward (although in my experience there's still lots of shoving wherever you are if you're near the front of the pit haha)

At the 2 concerts last year I was on Mike's side and then on Jason's. Mike was a total sweetheart

 This is amazing and you are a genius.

Thank you!

A friend of mine got to talk to Mike's wife at a concert before a show. They both said they loved her make up.

That's strange! At the three I've been to where I could see both sides when I walked in the middle was the most crowded (obviously as it's in front of Billie), getting gradually less on both sides going out from the middle but with more on Mike's side, I assume just because most people will pick being in front of Mike over being in front of Jason if they have the choice. Were you quite far over to the side though? At the show where I was on Mike's side it wasn't very crowded but it was just because I was really far over to the side. I guess there's loads of variation between different shows and different places in the pit though.

I was the 7th or 8th person in so that could have made a difference. Mike's side looked a bit fuller because they had all the disabled people on that side, but aside from that there was more room closer to Billie on that side. I only went to the other side because I saw a friend I had made in line and I didn't want to get stuck next to this one bitch on the other side.

Never going to forget the little nod he gave me at the concert.

I got that same nod. As I said before. ADORABLE.

I just read your "location" with Billie's voice. Strange. :o

I was on Jason's side for my show and it was definitely less crowded on his side than Mike's. You're not crazy.

I'm the only one who had a weird show.

Maybe there were lots of Jason lovers in attendance :D

I had a show where it was rammed on Jason's side. I was really surprised because at Leeds last year Mike's side was really tame (as tame as it can get at a festival) and Jason's was a crazy mosh.

To be fair other than the one show where I was right over to the side it's been rammed wherever I was . The main difference I'm getting at is just when you first get inside and you're looking for the furthest forward place you can get, there's usually going to be less on Jason's side at that point even if once the place is filled up and the show starts it doesn't make a difference just because the first few people will fill Mike's section of the barrier first. Once shows actually start I think the craziness is just worst in the middle and gets gradually less in all directions haha.

That reminds me, at Shepherds Bush after my sister passed out so I followed her out of the middle of the pit (she was fine and back watching the show within 10 minutes lol), and we were then right over at the side of the pit halfway back from the stage, it was completely still! In the middle it was absolute insanity but there they started up King For A Day and everyone was just standing there not moving or singing or anything and getting annoyed if anyone slightly touched them. I don't get the point of being there if you're going to do that, might as well be in a seat at least. I was glad to make my way further into the pit as soon as possible.

It was kind of like that where I was at Brixton, believe it or not. The crowd around me was just totally still for the entirety of Dookie, and I was right in front of Billie, maybe 6 or 7 rows back. It was really bizarre. That said, I think this reputation London crowds have for being wild is absolute bullshit. I saw Kate Nash at Shepherds Bush and while it was busy the crowd was pretty much still and you could easily walk around without being pushed or anything. I know it's not quite the same thing but I saw Katy Perry at the O2 Arena and we were pushing to get further towards the middle, and came across some people who'd brought 5 or 6 HUGE suitcases along with them, and they got really annoyed when we tried to get in front of them. I mean... what? In contrast, when I saw Green Day at the LCCC in 2010 I was miles away from the stage and the crowd was going wild there. Strange.

Oh, I remember first time when I saw Green Day photo I was really obsessed with Billie Joe. I was such a small child and I was in love, haha. It continued for some months and than I understood, that a young girl like me has no chances with the adult married man (finally!) That's when I started listening to all their music, not only to the hits. And a year ago I became the real fan, not the girl who loves only frontman for his appearance. But there is a great plus in my fangirling - without going through it I probably wouldn't be such a devoted fan now. Furthermore, it is really cool that they look so young and beautiful and continue bringing joy to all of us.

On this other forum that I'm active on (no not a Green Day forum) whenever someone tries too hard to be a Green Day fan, or a poser- I shall say, I get jealous really easily (CAUSE ITS ME K?) and I'd be ready to choke their throat with a hummingbird's beak I swear.

This is like so wrong. I've realized it and still I can't help it :x

Yeah it's weird, that gig showed me that it can be literally the most crushing, shoving, sweating and craziness I've ever experienced in one place and dead just a few metres away. At Brixton I can't have been that far from you but I never would've guessed anywhere in the place was like that, it was constant movement (aside from when it was impossible due to being crushed) up until Good Riddance where I was. I suppose there's just some people who want to move/dance/sing etc and some who don't and they make their own little pockets in the crowd. My sister and I found it is actually quite amusing dancing and singing and going hey oh while surrounded by unmoving silent people looking peeved though haha.

I agree with you! I see enjoying their good looks and charisma as a nice bonus that comes along with the music :D

Today is the one year anniversary of the Pittsburgh show and ugh, the feels. I just can't believe it's been a year since this:

The pic is professional, but I threw the yellow thing on stage and...:cry:
