OK. I convinced myself I must never use a band member photo as my avatar. But OMG, so tempted, it's so preeettyyy.

Hi, I have a set of balls, yet I'm still a fangirl.

WAT.

When I saw Green Day in NYC, during Oh Love, Billie looked right in my eyes during a certain lyric (eventhough you can't help but look at people when you look around during a song), so because of that I can safely admit, even if it was by accident, it was the most homosexual moment of my life. Really.

No regrets. x)

I'm so mad at myself that I didn't ruffle it while I was onstage with him. As it was I was overwhelmed by the fact that I had his sweat on me

If I was on stage with him I wouldn't have remember to done it either. I would more be like O_O HE HUGGED ME?!?!?!

X_X

Jeez, why can't blokes always be this honest?

And just to clarify, you'd definitely go gay for Billie Joe - or any other member - right? :P

I'd say so. I do get a lot of questions about me being gay to the point it annoys me (mostly because of the way I look, and they also try to convince me I am), but I wouldn't find shame in finding so man-love in one of my heroes as well as guys I think are cute*. :ga:

*Eventhough I'm shy to admit it, but you get the idea.

Your avatar is much better, it shows personality.

Not really, unless you mean it just shows me for who I am, rather than just a Green Day fan :P

okay, now for my real fangirl confession

so at the last gd show i went to billie spent a lot of time looking at my friend and i. like, a LOT. i realize that sounds kind of insane and he looks at lots of people but at one point he had looked at us so much that the girls to the left of my friend got jealous and pissed about it and said something to us because he didnt pay any attention to them at all. every single time he did something silly on stage he would make eye contact with us and laugh and during going to pasalaqua he was just looking at us while he was singing and he had the biggest smile on his face the whole time and i get a ridiculous smile on my face everytime i think about it  it just makes me really happy to think that we were connected to him in some way and made him smile like that even just for a few minutes during a concert :D

In general, do those kind of jealous, bitchy girls and situation occur a lot at Green Day concerts. I know some people moan about the nature and proportion fangirls on the barrier or in the pit etc, but is it an exaggeration? Or was this a one off?

there was a chick who literally squeezed her way in-between me and my boyfriend to get to the barrier. she was the most annoying person ever..like whinny..."Oh my God Billie-Joe I love youuuuu, marry meeee!" give me a pick give me a pick!" all while holding a camera directly blocking my view..I kept elbowing her in the ribs..like I know theres a lack of space..but really. She was the kind of fangirl that irritates me..Like i was embarrassed to be seen near her haha

I hate how, for some people, fandom just completely takes away their concern for other people. Don't those girls realise they're not the only ones looking to have a good time?

I just hate crazy fangirls like that because it gives the rest of us responsible, considerate fangirls a bad name. They're just embarrassing.

And this is why I don't dig the GA section. I still go to GA concerts...some venues just don't do seats, but my experience has always been someone pushing me to get some sort of closer look and standing right in front of me when there's no room to stand and blocking my damn. And I'm just like really? I'm not that tall, have a little consideration. Or it's drunk people who are so wasted they push their way to the front to insult the band and then start dancing with people.

I'm small but no one ever takes my spot or pushes me around at shows. I usually get barricade and once I'm there wild horses couldn't drag me away  at one show I was at I was standing next to a mom who had her little son on the barricade and was protecting him so naturally I was trying to protect them, too. This drunk asshole tried to physically pry my fingers off the rail and was pushing and shoving everyone including the mom. Me and this guy I was standing with elbowed him as hard as we could and flagged security and they made him leave

Man, you have better experiences than I do  There's usually a point at every GA show I've been to where I can't see and it pisses me off so much. I'm going to one tonight for BFMV so we'll see how that goes

I am small and there was one time I got pushed around and it was by these two big guys. It was a day to remember concert and I have been waiting there before the doors open for 6 hours because I wanted to make sure I was at the front. I was at the barricade and the people I were with were all scattered behind me because I am the smallest of my friends. As soon as the ADTR came out everyone bum rushed the front which is UNDERFUCKINGSTANDABLE until these two guys that I noticed were behind me fucking pushed me and got right in front of me! My cousins boyfriend almost got into a fight with them and lets just say by the end of that show I was in front of them. But to the point; do you believe that??? I know everyone says that rock shows people are usually nice and will help you and stuff but some fucking fans show no mercy.
