That Dude
This is the most insane Green Day show EVER. multiple encores, dangerous piano ballads and fire. so much fire. he Foxboro Hot Tubs come out and rip through “Basketcase” and “F(woo) Time” before the show even starts. As they exit the stage, Drunken Bunny comes out and does his thing before the main show begins . 1. Basketcase 2. F(woo) 3. Welcome to Paradise 4. Holiday 5. Oh Love 6. The Saints are Coming 7. Make Out Party 8. Restless Heart Syndrome 9. Dry Ice 10. Android 11. Jackass 12. She 13. Stuck with Me 14. Nice Guys Finish Last 15. Take Back 16. Waiting 17. Ordinary World 18. Walk Away 19. 21 Guns 20. Still Breathing 21. BANG BANG ENCORE: (they don’t even leave the stage, but the lights go down for a bit) 22. Holiday 23. Somewhere Now 24. Forever Now ENCORE II: 25. Boulevard of Broken Dreams / We are the Champions / Freebird 26. American Idiot ENCORE III : (Everyone except for Tre makes their way into the audience and mingles with the frenzied crowd as they play a blistering psycho-fast version of Dirty Rotten Bastards. It’s been reworked a bit to please the Trilogy-haters and it’s hardcore insane. The entire crowd is singing along to the “we’re carried away bit. Billie has everyone jump on the last chord and the entire crowd finishes the show. 27. Dirty Rotten Bastards The band stand inside the crowd as the cheers “ENCORE FOUR” “ENCORE FOUR”………………….This is where it gets insane: A piano is thrown out into the middle of the crowd. Billie sits down in the wreckage and begins playing a ballad version of: ENCORE IV: 28. 99 Revolutions (broken piano in the middle of a crazed mob version!!!!) The spirit of this show cannot be contained. The crowd needs more. The other band members begin playing something slowly. It’s hard to tell what song. Billie: Guys, guys, guys. We gotta end this thing. It’s been lovely but uh…the city of Chicago went to bed….should have went to bed hours ago and the police are probably on their way to murder us all right now!” He’s laughing so hard he can barely speak. Mike: 99 encores tonight! Tre: You guys GET SERIOUS! BOW_CHICKA-bOWO. Suddenly the song is recognisable. Billie: This is only song that can put an end to THIS MADNESS. We shoulda stopped an hour ago. HAHAHA ENCORE V: 29. Whatshername As the song fades, Billie screams: THIS IS MY RAGE THIS IS MY LOVE THIS IS YOUR TOWN THIS IS YOUR CITY THIS IS OUR LIFE!!!!!!!! The band destroy their instruments and destroy the entire set up and light their backdrop on fire. Drunk Bunny runs out in flames and falls over. The crowd is rioting for an ENCORE SIX ENCORE SIX or whatever encore would be next. but no. The band take a simple bow and leaves the city to burn. it's not their burden. And the concert is over. He then picks up his guitar and Green Day continue the longest concert in all of history: 49. The Forgotten 50. Last of the American Girls 51. East Jesus Nowhere 52. Poprocks and Coke 53. Working Class Hero 54. When It’s Time 55. The Simpsons Theme 56. Maria 57. Shoplifter 58. Warning 59. Back in the USA 60. Stay the Night 61. Revolution Radio 62. Kill the DJ 63. Minority 64. Wake me Up When September Ends 65. Let Yourself GOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8 hours have passed since Green Day first took the stage. Green Day have played for 5 hours, with the 3 hour Network set in between. Fans try to scream for an encore, but they are all falling asleep, despite the insane set list. Only That Dude and the Insider are awake but even they are drifting off. Billie Joe marches into the resting crowd and everyone perks up a bit. "Guys, guys, guys. We are done here. We've basically played every song we know how to play. And we're ****ing tired, ya know? The good new is.....we'll be back tomorrow to finish this gig!!! Right guys?" Billie turns to Mike and Tre. They are both passed out on the stage. "Okay, even Green Day can't rock around the clock ALL THE TIME. Thanks you, thank you, thank you. Goodnight and God bless you guys." some dufus tries to start chanting "ALL THE TIME" "ALL THE TIME" "ALL THE TIME" but blacks out before getting Billie's attention. Billie walks to the tour bus, snapping his fingers and singing "All the Time" softly. The show is finally, finally, finally, finally over. Lenny
I don't really have any major setlist demands. I'd just like to see the King For A Day/Shout thing finally die. If they want to have some fun on stage that's cool do Dominated Love Slave or All By Myself and then get back into the show. If they're gonna do covers then do covers of songs they actually recorded like Working Class Hero or My Generation and not 13 seconds of ACDC, Black Sabbath and Van Halen. Use the saved time to get more Insomniac in there or maybe something off of Warning. Maybe throw in 1 different rare song at each show and give us something to really remember. They have a great show but some of the antics on stage have been going on since 2001 and some even back to Nimrod era. I'd like to see them restructure the show in some way so that it seems a little more fresh. 2

No One Knows (live debut, a super duper rarity) 29. Good Riddance I worked with your guidlines instead of my own. But I'd definitely enjoy the heck out of this show. The whole King for a day thing is so much fun, but darn near two decades of it is a bit much. Maybe they could spread it out, trade it for a couple full covers of something.
