Oh2e
Ok, don't know if we'd had this topic before, but what would be your perfect Green Day gig? When would it be held, who would support them, what songs would they play, who would you go with etc. It doesn't have to be realistic, you could go and see them play just after Dookie came out even if you were only 6 then or whatever, you'd be your age now. Okay, my answer to this is really lame, I'd want to go back to Milton Keynes, except be right at the front this time and take a couple of internet friends I know who love them and a friend who didn't get to go. And I would have had MCR and Fall Out Boy support them. And I would be able to play Knowledge and got to have gone on stage. Right, just interested to see anyone else's (hopefully more inventive) answer. I would have a concert with equal parts MCR and Green Day, they would play near me (in Ireland) and they would play....I can't decide, they're all amazing but they would definately play King For A Day, Olivia, Jesus of Suburbia and Basket Case. Then before the concert finished I would go up on stage and play a song with them after magically being able to play the guitar perfectly. If only...... That Dude
I was going to make another crazy random setlist, but with new rumblings about an active Green Day, here's what I'm hoping their new set list might look like: American Idiot NEW SONG Stay the Night NEW SONG NEW SONG Holiday X-Kid Welcome to Paradise She Oh Love Jesus of Suburbia Wake Me Up When September Ends Nice Guys Finish Last Longview Basketcase NEW SONG Waiting 21st Century Breakdown Stuck With Me When I Come Around Hitchin A Ride The Simpsons Theme Boulevard of Broken Dreams Brutal Love ENCORE: When It's Time Redundant Drama Queen Lazy Bones I Fought the Law Let Yourself GO 21 Guns Minorty The Saints are Coming Good Riddance With the exception of Lazy Bones and Saints are Coming, this one could actually happen. I would do anything for them to add The Saint are Coming to their show!!! It has so much power and energy, it would unbelievable! One way to ensure a successful tour would be to do a hits-heavy set. Play all 40+ singles, and throw in a few new songs.
