Snows
Attitude-wise, I would say they are punk. Musically, they have not been punk, in my opinion, since 1994. There were songs on Nimrod I would consider punk, so maybe 1997. However, Warning is not punk. American Idiot is rock. 21st Century is rock. The Trilogy is pop-rock, all the way. I usually get yelled at for saying Green Day is not a punk band. Take my opinion as you will. I am not interested in being called a punk elitist again, but comparing them to bands in the punk genre, I would not consider anything past Nimrod solid punk. Yeah, I agree in all that you say. I like GD because , imo, every lp sounds different. they can surprise you in every album, in every song. (I love AC/DC for all the opposite). Who cares about labels. People love to label everything, even if they don't mind at all about something, fuck. EDIT: I think that there are some things that I said are a bit contradictory, huh? It's my bad english, sorry. My opinion is like yours, drumdreez, not that they are a punk band musically in all their career. I FEEL WEIRD AS FUCK NOW. )
Snows
I'm not annoyed with you, it's just that, whoever it is, I don't like it when people complain about Mike as a bassist because I love it and he inspired me to play bass. Aha, I just found your criptonite. I love how Mike play his bass, really. He have some lines that are awesome as fuck.
TimmyChunks
I ended up losing my wallet at that show! I didn't really know what to expect going into it, but holy shit- you just reminded me how great Pasalacqua was as an opener that night. I kinda felt bad for Superdrag though. They more or less got booed off the stage! Pasalacqua was incredible, and the entire setlist was fantastic. We had some real gems in the setlist, and Lupo's was one of the best local venues to see a show- and an incredible place to see a band as big as Green Day. I also saw Weezer play there on the Pinkerton tour (I'm sure you were possibly at this show as well). Superdrag was absolutely destroyed by the audience, and I felt bad for them up to the point where they mailed it in and didn't even sing the chorus on their only hit- "Sucked Out'. The lead singer stepped back so the audience could sing the chorus, and nobody did. It was a really awkward opening act!

C.H.
1- Longview gotta be the worst song of Green Day. I can't listen to Basket Case and When I Come Around anymore. So, for me, Dookie is like one of their worst album ever. 2- The trilogy is the best thing they've done since the 90's. 3- Half of the first album suck. It's really depend of which song you listen... I think it would have been better with Tre. Oh and Rest... No comment. It suck. (And I never remember the title of this album...) 4- Insomniac is a kick ass album, but Brain Stew, Jaded, Bab's Uvula Who? and Tight Wad Hill are really average song. That's the reason why it's not my favorite album 5- Know Your Enemy and Oh Love are the two songs that pissed me off the most. Theses are clearly commercial stuff, only written to be played on the radio. They just don't fit on their respective album. 6- For me the trilogy end with 99 Revolutions. Dislike The Forgotten and glad that they don't play it live. 7- Mike Dirnt is the band member I dislike the most. (Which doesn't means I hate him) He's an average bassist and don't have the charisma of Billie Joe or Tre Cool. 8- Homecoming is FAR BETTER than Jesus of Suburbia. Period. 9- Kerplunk IS the better album of Green Day. They should record it again... It would be fantastic. 10- Misery... What the hell is that? No comment. That's enough for now I know there's a lot of things I dislike, but it's really my favorite band... Just some songs I really don't like.

Insomniac1984
I don't care about AI videoclips, the best GD videoclip ever is Nice Guys Finish Last, then Walking Contradictiion.
Insomniac45
Little Boy Named Train doesn't get enough credit in my opinion. Yeah, the instrumentals may be a little boring, but the message in the lyrics is actually very strong. I think I read in an article that said that Billie described that song as himself. Yeah, the instrumentals may be a little boring, but the message in the lyrics is actually very strong. I think I read in an article that said that Billie described that song as himself. Yes- that quote was in Rolling Stone. And I have LBNT as one of my favorites off of the Trilogy. The prechorus is one of my all time favorites by the band- Billie's voice soars during that part. And the song has fantastic energy- I think it has a kinetic type of feel, if that makes any sense. I know there's not a ton of love for song from what I've seen posted, but I think it would be tremendous live and I'd love to hear it on the tour. Heather.
The first time I heard LBNT I actually made a point to say it was the most boring song off the whole trilogy and I fully expected to never listen to it again. Somehow, a few tries later, it became one of my favorites on the album. It definitely has that generic feel, is somewhat unimaginative, but it's one of those songs that inexplicably hits you hard if you let it.
HolyHandGrenade
I think Warning is overrated on GDC. The song, or the album? 'Cause the trifecta of Church on Sunday, Fashion Victim, and Castaway are some of my favorites from GD's entire host of songs. Not to mention Misery, which has its own little story line and is their most unique acoustic song, as well as Deadbeat Holiday, which has a major influence on American Eulogy. That's just my opinion. tdlyon
I thought Little Boy Named Train was on the weaker side the first time I heard it, but I fucking love it now. Bastard of 1969
Okay, so here we go. My opinions are: 1. 8th Avenue Serenade is one hell of a song! 2. Nimrod is best album that they ever made. 3. Extraordinary girl and Last ride in are the worst songs they made 4. Nice Guys Finish Last is an awesome song 5. American Idiot is also good song, but i'm getting sick of it how much time i heard that song. 6. Jesus of suburbia is damn good song
