So you have it over Brutal Love, WMUWSE, Whatshername, 21 Guns, Last Night on Earth, and Macy's Day Parade? What do you consider a GD ballad? What do you consider a GD ballad? I have it over Rest, Good Riddance, Redundant, Rotting, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Last Night On Earth, 21 Guns, Amy and Brutal Love. I haven't seen the musical yet (I'm seeing it in a month or two) but after listening to the soundtrack and comparing it with other musicals I've seen (because I'm a Broadway nerd), I have to say it doesn't sound like the best musical out there. This might be an unpopular opinion, I don't really know, but I also don't like that they put songs from 21st Century Breakdown in the American Idiot musical. Haven't seen the show yet, but as a previous poster mentioned, I actually think that a lot of the songs have even MORE power with the way they are arranged and the added harmonies in the musical. I've watched many west end musicals and fully enjoyed them, but Green Day and theatre? I don't know, it just feel like a distraction from the rest of their music and its progression.
