DTH
You don't say?! Seriously, who goes from deep voice (not really deep, but y'know) to really feminine? It should go the other way, I guess... drugs.
burnout409
Actually Billie Joe is a better singer than most people realize, but that's simply because Green Day's songs of course aren't aimed at showing his vocal abilities (or in general playing skills of the members of the band, hence the lack of solos in the majority of their songs). # Off topic but oh how i would have loved to have seen Billie in the 'American Idiot Musical'! Seriously would have payed a lot of money!

Broadway Billie's voice has gotten better in quality over the years, I definitely agree. He's one of the few singers I've seen in concert that sounds almost exactly like he does on the record (minus the hey-ohs and random screaming, of course ) However, on a somewhat related note, when I saw Green Day live back in '09 the higher notes in 21 Guns seemed to be really off. Although, Billie could have just been having a bad night vocally, I don't know.

And the high notes on 21 Guns were not off they were just an octave lower so Billie wouldn't strain his vocal cords because he can't take any break he has a show to play whereas in the studio he has plenty of time

But acid wouldn't have any effect. Or ecstasy or any of those.
Kajczy
Ooo this is the topic where i need to write GD's first two album is very old, badly recorded, and also many noob songs on them, however there are some really good (christie road) but unfortunatelly because of the bad recording quality it sound not so well. Dookie isn't as good as album as in the "green day history book" use to say, it is only a following of the first two album, but of course longview, basket case, when I come arount, pulling teeth are good songs, but just good, nothing else. Insomniac is the first album of GD which i could listen from the begining till the end - it is great, some of my favourite songs are on it: Brain stew, Geek Stink Breath, no pride, walking contradiction, Babs uvula who, and maybe 86. Nimrod.. ahh this is amazing - some stuffs are bullshit (nice guys finish last for example) but many great one, a very high quality album of GD. Hitchin a Ride is the best, and maybe one of the best GD songs ever. Warning is a medium level album, some good riffs but nothing else, the song Warning is very annoying sometimes for me Shenanigans, also nothing special but Espionage and Haha you are dead are two very good song for me. American idiot is the best rock album what was ever done, i dont care who what says. okok some maybe for the more time listening maybe boring songs (jesus of suburbia, holiday, homecoming) but all in all great. 21st century breakdown is also great, not as good as american idiot but good, only crap song on it is murder city and christion (or the what fuck his name is) inferno. The trilogy is another top point of GD's life - i love them, ok of course not all of the 37 songs but at least 15-20 So waiting for tour, and next albums, love gd
murdercitykid
I don't hope this is unpopular but I gotta post it, I fucking HATE that so many people really thinks that Shenanigans is an ordinary studio album and not a compilation album. That's so fucking annoying. One of my friends seems to think that, though I'm telling him each time he says it's bad, that " Man, it's not an album really, it's a collection of B-sides and stuff like that who didn't end up on some of the albums" . I don't think he understands what the hell a B-side is. Poor dumb idiotic friend <3 EDIT: I mean, for example when people are making lists over their top Green Day (studio) albums and they count Shenanigans, WHY? Then you could count International Superhits or a live album as well.
EmmaCharlatan&Saints
Not really band related but any fans who say they are ''real'' or ''true'' Green Day fans.... like they are better than other fans really pisses me off. This probably isint an unpopular opinion though lol
