porksoda
Warning isn't really that great of an album.
JIGD13
What I meant is that those Rockabilly songs are really good to dance songs (Stop Drop and Roll is full of those)! And they have guitars, drums and bass in it... Kill the DJ doesn't make me want to dance like those songs do... So I was expecting Kill the DJ to be a better song (least repetitive at least). But this is just what I think. What I wanted was that the end had the we are the vultures part
Clean Cut Asshole
1,039 is definitely their worst album, MAINLY because of the sound. But I love that shitty production! I love it so much that's how I want my band's first record to sound.

FatVince
I dislike American Idiot. It's a good album, but not my cup of tea. Armatage Shanks is my favourite Green Day song.

folie_a_deux
I agree with everyone saying that the intro on Extraordinary Girl is awful. The rest of the song is allright but that intro is just annoying. Dos was a pretty big disappointment for me, especially Nightlife. Rap? Really guys? bjrules
Kerplunk is a vastly superior album to Dookie. Not to mention that Dookie is ridiculously overrated. I mean, Dookie could easily be reduced to about 10 tracks, with the amount of filler on there. Remove Coming Clean, Emenius Sleepus and In the End, and already the album is better. I love Sassafras Roots, but some people call that filler, so I'll throw that in there as well. Now look at Kerplunk. The only song that could be classified as filler there, in my opinion, is Dominated Love Slave, not counting the ep at the end. Not to mention that Kerplunk has so much more variety than Dookie, musically speaking. Look at No One Knows, the start of 80 and Words I Might Have Ate. Dookie has almost none of this variety going on. F.O.D is possibly the only example of this.
iRun
Restless Heart Syndrome is one of Green Day's best songs. 21st Century Breakdown is Green Day's best album.
J&TheNight
Inspired by my recent status, I'm probably in the minority in believing that Panic Song is one of the best Green Day songs there is. The fact that you could take a reasonable guess at its name without ever having seen it before. It is excellent at conveying Panic, basically. (remember to explain your opinion!) I love how you made sure to ask for explanations, but most of the replies were really straightforward mindless statements without any reasoning going on XDDDD I don't really have any unpopular opinions on the group. I think Dookie is now where near their best, and that the first 2 albums are amateur at best. There are a few great songs in there, but it's obvious to me that they were just some stoner kids who had no real clue how to even write a song. Brian Gag
I like "Money Money 2020" better than I liked AI or 21CB. I almost feel like this needs the "Confession Bear" meme to go along with it. Due to being a kid in the 80's, and also partly due to my father's taste in music, I love new wave - not in an ironic or kistchy way, but I genuinely like it. In fact, if you haven't seen "Urgh! A Music War," go and look it up. It'll blow your mind. When I found out Green Day had sorta / kinda released a new wave album, I needed to have it. AI and 21CB were solid releases. I agree 100 percent with Stephen King naming "American Idiot" one of the best albums of the decade. But they did kind of meander a bit at times. I'm not saying I dislike "American Idiot" or "21st Century Breakdown." I'm just saying I like "Money Money 2020" better.
FatVince
I think I'm a member of a little club who likes the intro of Extraordinary Girl. It's even the reason I like the track.
tdlyon
I absolutely love the trilogy. It's my second favorite GD release ever. In fact, my whole top 5 is probably unpopular. 1. American Idiot 2. Uno/Dos/Tre 3. Nimrod 4. Warning 5. 21CB That's right. No Dookie or Insomniac. On a side note, I don't hear Before the Lobotomy in Carpe Diem at all. It sounds more like Desensitized if anything. Also, note how much I love the trilogy. Believe it or not, Lazy Bones is one of my least favorite on Dos (still love it though) and X-Kid is one of my least favorites on Tre. (Feels like it's missing something. Still like it though, and good choice for a single.)
Asa.
Also, 1. I think Jason is kinda chubby, and he looks silly next to 3 fairly skinny dudes. 2. Mike is the hottest of the 4, especially with his long hair.
Todd
Unpopular opinion- I want to punch the next person that doesnt like 1039. It's no more a studio album than shenanigans. It's either 39/Smooth, 1000 Hours, or Slappy. Or all 3.
The Forgotten
I like 21CB I think Baby Eyes is great I don't like the majority of 1039 smoothed out slappy hour although I like Rest I think Last Ride In is a good song in terms of instrumental music Dookie is a tiny tiny bit overrated
green day is
I think John's drumming on Who Wrote Holden Caulfield? is a lot better than Tre's John's drumming on everything is better than Tré's. Also Mike's voice > Billie's voice.

That Punk Kid.
I like Mike's voice more than Billie's... and I also prefer the Brain Stew/Jaded version of Good Riddance over the Nimrod version.

Brian Gag
I want to hear a Tre Cool solo album. I love his puerile contributions, few-and-far-between as they may be. I think it's a damn shame that "DUI" got pulled from "Shenanigans."
Justin
I actually think that Mike's singing on "Sex, Drugs and Violence" really sucks. There is nothing to it, no purpose whatsoever. Just always gets me shaking my head, like what the fuck is this.
