musso_kn
Think I've managed to piss everyone off... Lol Well, you also managed to come out with some of the most genuinely unpopular opinions this thread has seen in a long time. Plus, I have that t shirt, too. Let's be friends. billiejoephil
Know Your Enemy is a good song which I consider to be essential for pumping up the crowd at every show.
DookieLukie
Green Day should have combined Ashley, Amy, and Amanda into a longer multi-movement song like DRB or JOS.
musso_kn
It was absolutely amazing to find out that Missing You, Waiting, Going to Pasalacqua and Nice Guys Finish Last were performed at the Emirates gig last night, but the set list as a whole wasn't that spectacular. Granted, if I had been at the concert, I'd have been over the moon (because it's Green Day after all) but I don't see why everyone's making such a fuss over it when it isn't extremely different from the set lists they played across the States. By Green Day standards it's pretty different! They rarely change their setlists much so to get that many rarer songs is very lucky. Only "downside" I see is that they also played Waiting and Nice Guys Finish Last at Wembley so a lot of people at Emirates would've already seen them, they probably weren't the best choices if they wanted to give the crowd songs they'd never heard before (although I doubt they had the setlist memorized from a show 3 years ago so can't blame them ). But if I'd been there seeing Missing You and Knowledge would've made my night!

Waiting, Sassafras Roots, NGFL. remember when everyone was complaining because they didn't change their setlist in the first leg of the tour? i think the Europeans have to be really happy with the setlist they get because GD use to keep the same setlist and now they make some changes which is great. To be honest, like I said, I'd have been damn grateful for everything if I had been there. It's hard for me to judge how great all the songs sounded, one after the other, when all I've seen is a setlist on a computer screen. And I'm probably a little (okay, very) bitter I didn't get to see them in my own country!

Insomniac45
I love that they're keeping Sassafras Roots in the setlist as of recent. I honestly think it's one of the best songs off Dookie and I hope they continue to keep it!
Tubbie Head
In Loss of Control, I'm fine with the whole song except the chorus where BJ starts to sing the "We're all crazy, you're all crazy (...)" bit... I'm not sure if it's just me, but that part just throws me off every time, I don't like it at all, it doesn't seem to fit the song, It just sounds weird to me! For that reason Loss of Control is one of my least favourite songs of the trilogy.

For that reason Loss of Control is one of my least favourite songs of the trilogy. I do think it fits with the song but I don't really like it either. The way it's phrased it always makes me think of when people say "We're all mad here!" and "You don't have to be crazy to work here but it helps!" and other lame stuff like that . Saying "we're crazy" is just a bit cringy. It's not really meant that way in the context of the song of course, they're not really saying look at us we're crazy and wacky they're just expressing feeling like they've lost control, but that phrase just sticks out. JackInABox86
Here's a few of my personal probably unpopular Green Day opinions 1) I'm just not getting the hype of Brutal Love, it's an average song to me, and the chord change(?) near the end I greatly dislike 2) I don't get the hype of Sassafras Roots at Emirates, to me it's another average song and one of the weakest from Dookie, although I do like the song 3) At first I thought X-Kid was THE best song, but I now whenever I listen to it, I'm just like meh... 4) Now that I think about it Tre is the weakest of the trilogy for me

There's all this energy and build up and then it just goes into that part as if it was another bridge. I like the song all around because I love the alliteration in the bridges (the "April Fool thought you're falling in love/But now you're sucking on a door knob that I slammed in your face" part) and the guitar riff overall is really good, but I recognize it as probably the weakest song of the Trilogy. No way! I'm not a huge fan of the chorus but the verses are pure awesomeness. So many killer lines! One of my favourites on Uno for sure for the fabulous verses alone. The only thing that puts me off is how the chorus seems to plateau, but otherwise it's still a song that I greatly enjoy. I just think, objectively, it's not as good as the rest of the songs on the Trilogy. The funny thing is that, at least how I see it, Green Day's "not as good" is still pretty damn good.
