i miss the 21stCB era.

(please don't kill me)

I totally get it. There was so much buzz associated with that time. The gigs were great too.

I think Mike should be the only one doing backing vocals, on old songs and some of the new songs. That's the way it used to be, why not keep it that way?

Because their music and their show has changed. They need more singing power to perform the newer more complex/more powerful songs. Also apparently when they added Jeff it was specifically because they wanted someone who could sing the very high parts that many 21st CB songs have well, which he can. It's all just so that their music sounds full and at it's best when they perform it.

I would rather meet Mike, then Tre, then Billie, to be honest. I'd love to meet all three of them, of course, if I had the chance. :P

Dude. Same.

The 21st Century Breakdown period was great. But, I absolutely loath the artwork from that time period. I couldn't take it seriously. I've loved the artwork and "theme" that went along with each album but 21st's I just didn't get. To me it was too youth politic, too teenage-girl-emo, too Occupy (in hindsight).

True. I met Tom Delonge and he was cocky as fuck and douchy.

Don't compare Tom DeLonge's personality with Mike's for example. Even from what we can see from them.

i think this is actually the most unpopular opinion i've ever seen posted omg what

I agree. I would love to hear Cigarettes and Valentines one day (and we probably will/already have since Mike has said the band will be "cleaning the attic" soon) but the success of American Idiot reinvigorated this band. There's no replacing it.

I like stencil art (actually I do quite a bit myself) but I felt that the album's artwork had just a little too much (note that some of my favorite album artwork ever is the stencil on the cover of Shenanigans).

But.... it had an ongoing theme in the artwork! :o I missed something like that in the trilogy artwork a bit :runaround: except: "X"s everywhere!
