I'd rather meet the guys who work behind the scene to make a show successful. That doesn't mean I'd give up on meeting the band though :P

I would rather meet Mike, then Tre, then Billie, to be honest. I'd love to meet all three of them, of course, if I had the chance. :P

I don't think I'd ever want to meet the band. It would ruin me if they ignored me or were rude. I know they can't be "on" all the time but I would just be so devastated that it would be MY luck that they weren't "on" when I was there and that other people would have these wonderful photos or stories and I'd just have a rejection because I happened to be there on the wrong day/at the wrong time.

I like to live by that old saying "never meet your idol(s)". You know, in case they turn out to be total knob(s). I'm a fairly awkward individual; my uneasy behaviour probably wouldn't help if I ever did meet the band anyway.

I don't like really like Jeff Matika. The way he does harmonies makes them sound too shrill in some places. I preferred it when the band was touring with Ronnie Blake.

Agreed. I'd rather have Jeff go away.

Don't worry, we know everyone in Green Day is also awesome in person :P

Also, I'm dissatisfied with the way the live vocals have been mixed on the last couple of tours. Turn Mike Dirnt's mic up for God's sake, you can barely fucking hear him on the songs where he's the only person on stage doing backing vocals.

I think Mike should be the only one doing backing vocals, on old songs and some of the new songs. That's the way it used to be, why not keep it that way?

Jeff doesn't do vocals for the old songs only AI to Trilogy

I was sitting on the side of the ACL stage at SXSW during the old songs aside from KFAD and St Jimmy he wasnt on his platform and went backstage

That's good. But I honestly don't think they need him on all new songs either. I mean, are they gonna have a second backing vocalist if they make a new record, too?

Actually, their awesomeness is relative depending on two factors: their mood and your (the fan's) social skills.

God, I totally agree. It would be devastating to meet them and have them not be everything I hoped they'd be. I know they're nice guys who are good to fans and there are many, many good stories about meeting them, but as you said, they can't be "on" all the time, and they're not "on" all the time. And I 110% understand that logically. But I would be heartbroken if I were on the receiving end of them having an off day.

In Chicago he was out the whole time

Also, an upopular opinion. I would rather Cigarettes & Valentines had come out instead of American Idiot.

Same. I'm sure there's a lot of people like this. I used to take the drug references in their songs for granted, but since Billie Joe's release from rehab, I realise the long term effects substances were having on him for so long. I've never taken anything vaguely harmful, but I guess this occurrence just gave me stronger point of view. I still enjoy songs like Basket Case, Christie Road etc, though and always will, because I think there are other themes in those songs are totally universal.

Everyone is gonna kill me for this, but there are only 2 trilogy songs that I just can't seem to get into no matter how hard I try.

Wow! That's Loud and Walk Away.

Now, don't get me wrong, instrumentally Wow! That's Loud is awesome, but I just don't like the

way Billie sings it--sounds like a jumbled mess to me. But I still, for the most part will listen to it.

However, Walk Away, that is the one I will ALWAYS skip. I don't know why, but I just can't get into it.
