US rescheduled tour dates, Ticketmaster cancellation claims, and messages from venues

Okay, I just looked at that Waterfront website or whatever it's called...the fact that the article was written/released on Christmas Eve, before any more official site said anything, is extremely sketchy to me.

I'm going to have a mental collapse. None of this makes sense to me. They wouldnt cancel half their tour, would they? And my show is still currently cancelled. They wouldnt skip over New Hampshire, Mass? I'm so worried/confused still.

The fact that this article is from the 24th, and only lasts a couple weeks, makes me believe (and pray) that this isn't the real schedule, or just some of the schedule. No way they could cancel that many shows!

NH has been confirmed as cancelled by Ticketmaster.

Also, for those doubting the truth of this schedule because it was posted on December 24th, the Providence date was posted on that before Ticketmaster sent out mass emails to the Providence ticket holders. It could have been sheer luck, but I doubt it.

I know it was cancelled, but is there a chance it would be rescheduled to another venue? I mean, cancelling half their tour is bullshit. And nothing has been confirmed. I just wish they would come out and release something...

Yeah, I don't think they would just leave us hanging like that. I had tix to the NH show too.

I'm not sure where the addition of west coast dates is written. Could you help me out here?

Sure I took a screenshot;

fair enough. i just don't believe they'd cut half their tour, do eleven shows that cover like 10% of the country and claim that's a tour.

Not being nasty, but they can do as many/few dates as they want and call out whatever they want.

ARGH why isn't the IC posting anything? You can't say the dates are coming soon and then leave us hanging like this. D:

I think it's been pretty firmly established that the IC is run by a team of underpaid, poorly-trained bonobo monkeys.

To be honest, I think the number of shows rescheduled (as per that press release) makes sense. With everything scheduled the way it is, it gives them a decent break before they head to Europe. I'm sure they'll do a second US tour and make up for the cancelled shows if, in fact, this is the real schedule.

Hi Steve! Right now we are waiting on GD's management to finalize the date. We are looking at the last week in March/first week in April. It has NOT been officially cancelled at this point. Once we finalize the date, we will announce in the media and on our website. Hang in there. Scott WarrenGeneral ManagerWolstein CenterSent from my iPhone

That list is sketchy af. I mean i KNOW they wouldn't cancel the Cleveland show. The venue seems like they reallyy really want them there and they're openly answering questions about it too. I don't think the venue would let one of the most popular rock bands on earth just walk out the door. Damn is this all a clusterfuck.

I'm gonna email Wilkes-Barre and see what they say. It is listed as one of the cancelled dates on sketchy-but-likely-true-site.

^ Will do! :)

Even though the dates seem correct, I really don't buy that GD's management would allow some random site to leak dates because they "pressured" them into doing so. No way. ESPECIALLY if they are still nailing down dates. They wouldn't have a statement from the band before the official site says so, either.

My guess is that the dates they have listed as cancelled are still being scheduled or needed a venue switch. Because I mean - IDK, if the time frame was too cramped to fit all of those dates into, one would think that they'd just push back the US tour into the fall or something.

The venue would let one of the most popular rock bands on earth do just about anything. They're the ones holding the cards. If they want to/feel the need to cancel, they will, and there's nothing the venue can do about it. Just because the venue wants them there doesn't mean Billie's gonna suddenly get better.

To those complaining that 11 dates "isn't a tour", our 'full UK tour' consists of one date in London. Suck on that.

Look at Billie Joe's Instagram! He posted a whole message thanking fans for their patience and support and stuff, then said "PS. Green Day tour in March"!!!!!

Check Billie's Instagram, 5 minutes ago he posted he is doing well and can't wait to hit the road again. He confirms that the tour starts in March which means those leaked dates are most likely correct.
