NimrodsWithInsomnia
Anyone else noticed My Chemical Romance's "Bulletproof Heart" in Walk Away? Hahaha, same me too, and somehow a bit of Walking Alone and Hold On as well
KingSoda
Not sure if this has been discussed, but will the vinyl version of Tre be available next week? I noticed Amazon still has the preorder for January. Did the LP version not get pushed up to December?
StefanD
Sorry to spoil it for everyone, but the intro/verse and chorus of the first "section" of Dirty Rotten Bastards is completely ripped off from two old songs. I noticed it straight away because the theme songs of Football teams here in Australia are sung to the tune of both of these - these songs are heard weekly for 8 months of the year, so I can tell you now that I'm not just hearing things. The verse/intro is copied from the Toreador song (from 1:55 in this video): And the chorus is copied from the United States Marine Hymn (from 0:41 in this video): ahhhhh adelaide crows and geelong hahaha
Cob
Starting to get used to the album version of "Amanda". I fucking love that bridge/outro riff, very Paper Lanterns like.
Cob
I'm just confused by this album. Half of it is amazing and half of it is completely forgettable. Just for the amazing songs though I'd say it's better than Uno. Dos is still the best of the trilogy I think. Idk. I've only listened to the second half of this album two or three times so maybe the songs will grow on me. Give it time, remember that is has only been one day, even less. roushgreenday1fan
I hated ¡Dos! on the day it leaked, now I LOVE IT give it time
Malleus
Honestly, after listening to Tre a bit, I can safely say that while I think it is a great album and worthy of being in Green Day's discography, I'm unfortunately underwhelmed. Songs like Dirty Rotten Bastards, Little Boy Named Train, Walk Away and Amanda just don't really do it for me. It's weird because I think Brutal Love, X-Kid and Missing You are some of the best and most quality songs GD has ever made. Going to give Tre a 7/10. Not as good as I was hoping it would be, but better than Dos while not being as solid as Uno.
Cath
Tré is awesome, maybe my favorite one from the trilogy from now. Dirty Rotten Bastards is EPIC seriously. It's a kind of Homecoming (very similar on many parts) I really like, X-Kid, Missing You, 99 Revolution and Brutal Love, The Forgotten too ! Someone knows if there will be singles ? (beside TF)
spark in the night
Lol singles. Doubt it. They would have been released by now
Malleus
I am guessing they'll release X-Kid or Brutal Love as a single once Billie gets back to business.
greendepent
Listening some oldies songs can make a truly great inspiration. And Brutal Love is a really good example
deletethisaccount
Yeah, the album didn't meet my expectations, but I don't care. There are only a couple songs throughout the trilogy that I can do without, and I'm content with that. If I had one word to describe this album, judging by the way it sounds, I would go with..."sweet".
AfterShock
Don't know why I just thought of this...but live, I can totally see Billie playing the first part of Amanda solo then having the whole band kick in halfway through. That would be sweet.
Malleus
Listening to Dirty Rotten Bastards and I hear "Fuck the world, this is my revolution." I really like those lyrics and feel like they're a good representation of the trilogy as a whole.
Travis
After a long nap, Brutal Love seriously still gives me chills in the art and magic that Green Day can still work it. And JOS has been a long running favorite song of mine, and I have always wanted more songs of the such! Now, we have Dirty Rotten Bastards! Such a kickass song! !
Brutal Love is the best fucking Green Day song ever. I am IN LOVE with it! AHHHHHHHHHHHH Hey hey hey, whoa now, easy there, settle down now. I really like Brutal love, I really do. But best GD song? I don't know about that
1039SweetChildren
I'm really loving 'Sex, Drugs & Violence' now! It's a good lil track.

InsideOut
Yeah I realize it hasn't been long but the album past X-Kid...I really have no desire to go back and listen to any of those songs with the exception of Dirty Rotten Bastards. I mean, I don't hate them and I'm sure they'll grow on me but they're definitely underwhelming. On the flip side, Brutal Love, X-Kid, and 8th Avenue are already in my top Green Day songs ever. I like Missing You a lot too. Sadly as happy as I am that we got THIRTY SIX new GD songs this year I really think they should have just put out one album with the best tracks from the trilogy. It could've been perfect. One album probably would have been better, but with that, there's also no guaranteeing that the ones they pick will be the ones that the fans want. Especially because with some of the songs, people seem to either really like or really dislike them. It's pretty nice that we get the option of choosing our own favourites from a variety of songs. Also, I agree about Brutal Love, X-Kid, and 8th Avenue Serenade. I can't stop listening to those 3 songs!
Jace Peterson
Hey hey hey, whoa now, easy there, settle down now. I really like Brutal love, I really do. But best GD song? I don't know about that the musicality they put into that song is unlike any other. musically, it is the best work they have done.
woahinez
Ok so I wasn't very impressed with Dos. Honestly, I think I like Uno better than Dos. I had no idea what to expect from Tre. to say the least, I'm really really impressed. Brutal Love is such an epic song! omg and Missing You is so catchy and awesome. I love it! and then X-Kid...omg all I remember that I really like the lyrics. Dirty Rotten Bastards is pretty amazing too! ok so all those and 8th avenue serenade, 99 revolutions are the ones that I couldn't wait to go back and listen to after giving the album a first listen. desecrator09
I love this album. It's probably my favorite over Dookie and Nimrod
NimrodsWithInsomnia
Here's my review on the whole album, so far! Might change. And iTre! is the best in the trilogy! Brutal Love - 10/10 - This is amazingly beautiful! Reminds of a Beatles song, and gave me chills! - Especially at 2:39 where he holds that note! One of my favorites from the trilogy! The strings, piano, and the horns I could hear a little bit, sound really good together! I can imagine this with a music video! Missing You - 10/10 - Reminds me of Fell For You and Church On Sunday, and is a really sweet and catchy song! My favorite part is the bridge with the bass riff, the 'Chicka Chicka Ahhh' , and the drum solo! I love that part where he sings 'Well she's my blood...' It's such a sweet and amazing song! 8th Avenue Serenade - 9.2/10 - A really fun song with a great chorus! I would've given it 10 if it were a bit longer and had that 'A 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8' bit on the live version! Sounded a bit different from the live version somehow?. Really sweet solo as well! Drama Queen - 7.6/10 - I wasn't really into this one that much, and sounded much better live, just with the guitar. I didn't really want the whole band in it, but oh well. It's a really sweet song and nice ballad you can sing to! X-Kid - 10/10 - Easily one of their best songs ever! I think I've played the replay since the first preview of iQuatro! about like 100-200 times? This should be a single and this should have a music video! I love the part where he sings 'I fell in love' It gives me chills every time! The chorus is really great and fun to play on guitar! S*x, Drugs & Violence - 10/10 Probably the catchiest chorus on the whole trilogy! I don't understand why this gets hate? Oh my gosh! Mike singing I wish he could sing for longer though... Reminds me of Nimrod a lot! Little Boy Named Train - 9.4/10 - I don't understand why this gets quite a lot of hate. This is a really good song, with an amazing and catchy guitar riff that reminds me of Sweet 16 a bit! I would give it 10 if the post-chorus 'Well I don't know where I come from' was better. Anyways, great verse and chorus! Amanda - 8.8/10 - Only if it had the riff from the live version and a more distorted guitar... But this a really good song, and reminds me of Nimrod a lot! The solo is really good and sweet and the guitar riff is so catchy! Only if it went on for longer... Walk Away - 9/10 - I like this one, and grew on me from the first listen! Another sweet ballad with a nice verse and chorus, and the key-change. WOW, I didn't expect that. I love the sound of the guitar in the first verse, it suits it a lot! Dirty Rotten Bastards - 10/10 - I'm actually going to give this 11/10. This is just amazing. Not really like Jesus of Suburbia, but the fast part is so amazing! I can't stop singing 'YEAAAAAHHHHHH' and the first part is so catchy! This reminds me of Shoplifter, Worry Rock, and Dominated Love Slave, somehow! The insane bass solo and EPIC guitar solo! HOLY SHOOT THAT'S AMAZING! Ends perfectly with 'We're carried away'. And all I can say about this song is 'WOW!'. 99 Revolutions - 10/10 - I've been waiting for this song for a really long time! Sounds a bit better on the studio version and is really good! This is a sort of a mix of American Idiot and Nimrod. I like how the added politics to this song as well! The Forgotten - 8.6/10 - This is just BEAUTIFUL and makes me sad that I almost want to cry... It would sound a bit better without the drums, or just turn down the volume on the drums. They also could have added an acoustic guitar too, but anyways... This is the perfect ending for the trilogy! But makes me sad to know the trilogy's over Overall Score - 112.6/120 = 0.9383. But I would actually give this a 10/10 or 9.5/10. Best album of the trilogy and one of their best, behind Dookie and American Idiot probably! I wish they would add some bonus tracks to maybe an album like iCINCO! or like iQUATRO! - EP. Something like that with songs like Dreamcatcher, State of Shock, Hello Firecracker, Oh Girl, and Minnesota Girl.
