nofuckinsaint
It's Green Day doing something different for once. I've heard enough garagey stuff of slamming chords together and writing lyrics about partying and drinking. We had the Foxboro Hot Tubs, and that was plenty for me. It's not Green Day. I appreciate this debate because we are clearly very different fans. Last thing I'll say is I liked the idea of GD doing something different with Nightlife, but the execution didn't do it for me. Queen For a Day is the best of GD doing something different
lepetitpote
Just heard the live version of Amanda and I'm gonna go with everyone else and wonder why they didn't include that opening riff at the start. It makes the song so much better
Malleus
Green Day have to stop taking taking cool shit out of their songs when they record them. I was really hoping that counting would be in 8th Avenue Serenade.
yuan
Love Tre by far, dunno about Dos.. Uno is really okay. Tre has so much can be digged into, making me so happy and sad all in one. Yeah, they always sounds much better live, like Amy. I was so disappointed when I heard the studio version.
Milo Goes To Pasalacqua
Ok, so far, of what i heard of Tré, i am going to make this deduction: Uno: the album to get horny to. Dos: the album to have rampant bed-breaking sex to. Tré: the album to to share passionate deep kissing to, like they do at the epic climax of movies where the two lovers go all at it as if it's their last kiss before they are tragically seperated by a cruel twist of fate. Unfortunately, although this should be the climax, you're still exhausted after the dirty balls-to-the-wall sex of Dos so Tré feels a tad underwhelming when you know it could be awesome as fuck(ing) but ain't quite. I'm really sorry for the sex analogy folks but 1. i have fornication on the brain right now and it cannot be helped and 2. i am also mentally fatigued so sex was the only thing i could come up with. BraedonHorbacio
How did the magazines describe Brutal Love? It sounds a whole lot like Elvis style gospel, real 60s. Oh dear though, real good.

Guest
I appreciate this debate because we are clearly very different fans. Last thing I'll say is I liked the idea of GD doing something different with Nightlife, but the execution didn't do it for me. Queen For a Day is the best of GD doing something different If Green Day didn't do new things, I wouldn't love them half as much as I do. Maybe Nightlife isn't the best song ever, but it's not truly awful. King For A Day (not sure if your mistake was intentional ) isn't that innovative, they just added horns to their usual sound. People never object to the bongos at the start of Extraordinary Girl, or Last Ride In on Nimrod. That Green Day have the skill to pull these off is a testament to their ability. In all fairness, you're a much better debater than half of the people on here. Usually they just start swearing at you the minute you express an opinion that contradicts theirs Bitch Imma knock you out. 99 IS shit, it's know your enemy 2.0. Oh, how did that get there? AmericanIdiot27
People seem to be forgetting about the greatness of Walk Away. I have a feeling it'll be one of the less appreciated Green Day gems (I.E. Scattered) Less appreciated to the CASUAL fans. The hardcore fans really appreciate it's value. DxBecks
Really enjoying ¡Tre!, I finally feel like all the lyrics are up to Green Day's standards, and the music is great. I still think ¡Dos! and ¡Tre! are vastly superior to ¡Uno!, it just felt too par for the course and uninspired compared to the other two records but there was still some great music on their and Nuclear Family was an excellent album and trilogy opener. AfterShock
Amanda is very disappointing. It had so much potential. DRB tries wayyyy too hard to be better than it is. Missing You and X-Kid kick major ass though.
Haushinka Huynh
i think they should release Brutal Love as the last single for the trilogy. and make a music video for it like wmuwse
BlackBaboon
I am stunned at the hate for sex drugs and violence, little boy named train, and walk away. They're all really good tracks that definitely tell a story through their lyrics. I've actually listened to train and sex more than any other songs so far. Shredder2
Okay. I just finished listening to Tre. The only songs that really stood out for me upon my first listen were: Brutal Love X-Kid The Forgotten Loved them upon first listen. The others will take some time to grow on me. Uno was a grower for me, so I know I'll end up loving a song that I haven't listed yet.
Bob2123
After listening to Tre a bajillion times over the course of the past 10 or so hours, I think it is safe to say that it is my third favourite Green Day Album My top six (Will probably change over time): 1.
