[sarcasm]Green Day loves ripping off their past songs they already ripped off the drums to Lazy Bones for 99 Revolutions[/sarcasm]

¡Tre! is sadly underwhelming for me. Although I loved Brutal Love, X-Kid, DRB, 99 Revolutions and The Forgotten very much so. I feel that they have missed a chance to make an amazing double album with the trilogy material. Still love me my Green Day though :)

¡Dos! > ¡Uno! > ¡Tre! (In my opinion, of course.)

Why couldn't there have been at least one solid album in the trilogy? It's a sad day when ¡Uno! is the stable parent in this fucked up marriage. Sure, ¡Dos! is the cool one you want to hang out with even though he's going nowhere with his life, but ¿Tré? is the coked up dead-beat dad everyone pretends doesn't exist around the holidays. Incoherent doesn't even begin to cover it... What in gods fucking fuck was Dirty Rotten Bastards? Seriously? JOS pt. 2? Maybe after he'd finished with Jimmy's little bag of dope, a fuck ton of novacaine, and someone else's cocaine. Jesus fucking Jesus.

So... you didn't like it?

I don't think Green Day overly recycles their music and I don't think Tre is any different. (Although the DRB/Shoplifter similarity is the most blatant repetition of the discography, which should be obvious to everyone on the first listen)

okay, i agree with you :)

What a passionate, long, and in-depth review! You've got my respect.

I can't tell if you're serious or not...

LONG and IN DEPTH...?

I love(not) how people call using the same chords or drums like another song or having the same melody as another song in a small part of their song (which can be by accident too) ripping off.

O.O ok does anyone else hear Shoplifter in Dirty Rotten Bastards around 4:23? sing the lyrics of Shoplifter to the guitar. *mind blown*

I heard that too, it's not even hidden, it's dead obvious. I like it, it's like recycling.

Im like it their song if they wanna re use the bass line to longview for the rest of their lives they have every right to as long as the music good then whats the problem

Going to need the dust to settle a bit on this before I can call it. And a better listen through my headphones later.

Overall though, the trilogy has had some really weak lyrics, and some repetitive beats in places, but is still a pretty solid effort for three albums in the space of 4 months.

Imagine if they'd not swapped Stray Heart and Drama Queen.....Tre would be soooooooooooooooooooooooo much better (I think Drama Queen is weak so early in the album)

Don't think they would've swapped it were it not for ''the meltdown''

Yeah it's almost exactly the same except for a couple notes. But...it's great.

@WhiteTim, did you get the torrent to work? I would have emailed them to you, but the file sizes were just a bit too big!

Finally got home!!!!! :runaround: Now I will listen to the whole TRE in peace! Amazing. I was waiting for this the whole fucking day. I'm really excited about listening to it, but I'm so sad because there will not be no more waiting about the triology.

How long it is is irrelevant. What he is saying is that the review is kind of shallow and it seems it's based on catchyness rather than quality. Not that a catchy melody is a con, that's a plus. But the review was so no thought out.

And he/she is being sarcastic.

Prepare yourself to 8th Avenue Serenade, Drama Queen, X-Kid, Sex, Drugs & Violence, and, mostly of all... DIRTY ROTTEN BASTARDS!

I'll never make it 6 days. How long before I cave? My best guess is about an hour.
