1039SweetChildren
Little Boy Named Train is my least favorite, but I kinda expected that already even from the shitty live recordings. Nothing too special about it for me.
BlackBaboon
I just wanted to ask: When Billie says lifelong Daisy Chain, is he talking about the oral sex type train or the wiring because if it's oral sex I could maybe understand how Little Boy Named Train is about a transsexual. I can't make out all of the other lyrics but that one is pretty clear.
Comic Sans
The first part of Dirty Rotten Bastards didn't blow me away quite as much as I'd hoped. But the 2nd part  :wub:Eugh, yeah, I meant Drama Queen

Comic Sans
"I'm halfway through the album" meaning that I had only listened to the first 6 songs. I am now listening to Walk Away, DRB is up next, but, from the previews I listened to, it seems like it's the best song off of the album. Prepare your mind, man. Guest
I thought in meant she started her period... It can be seen that way. But it's a metaphor for her becoming mature and dealing with the world around her. Or it can be seen as the casual barbs thrown at her can start to hurt her. X-Kid-X
I hope so. It's sad that neither ¡Dos! nor ¡Tré! made me go fucking nuts at first listen just like ¡Uno! did. Maybe that's because iUno! was the first album in three years. While iDos! and iTre! are barely separated by a month.

nmycon
I had my expectations set sky-high for Tre and it surpassed them The only song I was actually slightly let down by was Dirty Rotten Bastards, but if it wasn't touted as being "the next Jesus of Suburbia" I might have enjoyed it more during my first listen. As I've stated before, I hated Troublemaker and Makeout Party initially, but they grew on me and I love them now! It can still happen with DRB, it was the only song on Tre that didn't completely blow me off my feet!
.Holly
It really is! "California's burning to the ground" is my trilogy highlight.
WhatsUpLucas
HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT. Dirty Rotten Bastards is a good reward for standing those first 9 not-good-for-Green-Day songs.

Sarcasm
"old enough to bleed" is a line that really stuck with me. Is the character emotionally matured enough to self destruct or just entered puberty? Both scary things in life. I'm pulling this out of my ass.. Cob
Listening to all three albums on random I can see why the band thought this was something special and released all 3 albums. There is so much to gain from these records. I'm sitting here changing, getting ready for school, and my head is filling with all these different colors, flavors, sounds, melodies, harmony, riffs, fills, my God it could go on forever and I love it. Listening to something as raunchy as Fuck Time, to then go into something sugary like Sweet 16, then to bust open a bottle on someones head in Baby Eyes, just to get dropped back into infatuation with Stay The Night, and then something entirely new with Brutal Love. The abandon of Oh Love, the emotion of X-Kid, the dirt of Makeout Party, the pump of Carpe Diem followed by the menace of Loss of Control, then to fire on all cylinders into Dirty Rotten Bastards only to stop and reflect on Amy. Incredible, only a band like Green Day could do this to me, break up so many different feelings into separate packages to give me such musical ecstasy. These albums, all three together, go right up there with American Idiot and Dookie in my opinion. Everyone wanted 2 Dookies and an American Idiot, but instead I feel we got something better, something different. I know that I got something more special than any attempt at replicating old glory, something I can cherish and relish in for weeks and months after release. I got Uno Dos Tre, and I'm totally content with that.
1039SweetChildren
Dirty Rotten Bastards is all over the place! It's supposed to be! A song with a running theme about falling into therapy having an ADD-esque jumpiness is golden.
.Holly
Billie's vocals have really hit a whole new level in this album. It's the best I've ever heard him sing. The lyrics on this album are sooooooo much better than uno and dos as well.
