Guest
THIS! It should be noted too that not only did they provide quantity, but they provided QUALITY. 37 brand new tracks in such a short time period is almost unheard of. I'd just like to point out that back in the day there was a jazz musician who released an album of new material every month. Can't remember his name. But anyway, in this modern age, and in mainstream music, this is unheard of.
Rusty Blue
Oh shit, Brutal Love is like the best song ever! Now TRE is my favorite for sure!!!!
DTH
Jesus Christ man, they're a big band now, they can actually afford decent production. Be glad of it. 1,039 and Kerplunk sounded raw because they were recorded on a budget of about $5. Making a record intentionally sound crap is just stupid. Look at the last Foo Fighter's album. That was recorded in Dave Grohl's garage on old traditional tape recorders. It still sounds clean as fuck. lol. just lol. what do distorted guitars have to do with expensive production? you know amps? its just a question of what soudn they want, not how much money they have. with all previous albums they wanted a distorted guitar sound. they got it. this time they wanted it clean. they got it. i dont like it. thats all. HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN
Wow. I think this is the best album of the trilogy. Musically, for the lyrics, for the overall solidity of the work. Because inside iTre! there are some really epic songs. Songs that if Warner will promote decent, but I don't think it will happen, could become musical monoliths, like many songs from American Idiot. I've only heard the album twice and I have to assimilate it at all, but I'm really happy. And not only for what I said earlier. I am very happy because the trilogy, with this last piece of the puzzle, take a wonderful profile. A fantastic job, with some of the most beautiful songs that Green Day have ever written. Listen iUno!, iDos! and iTre! one after the other without interruption. Personally I think is a unique musical experience, a high level musical experience. I think this is the best thing that Green Day could create at this point in their career. It's bad that a work that surely for them was extremely fun but also tiring, definitely will not be appreciated by the mass audience and by critics as other previous albums. But honestly I don't care that much. I think the trilogy remains a beautiful piece of music.Ffor me that I listen to Green Day since I was five years old, it was. Thank you Green Day.
