1st listening experience:

im not disappointed. if it would be a single album i maybe would be. because its the most popish green day record ever. but some really good pop(-rock) songs which dont chum up with the mainstream pop.

it maybe lacks of diversity, but since i have dos with some good rock'n'roll punk stuff thats ok with me.

the first half of the album is really really strong. i like the unexpected chord changes in brutal love. nice work. 8th avenue serenade is a highlight! but with sex, drugs and violence it starts to go downwards. i don't know how somebody would consider to reffer this song to old green day (dookie or such)? little boy named train is pretty weak, too. amanda has a really good approach but it seems unfinished. the "amanda dont you know" part is great but the rest of the melody is pretty boring. walk away is a filler, too. so we have four really weak tracks in a row (consider its my first impression. this could change).

some people people would consider dirty rotten bastards a mess. i don't. the shifts seem random but it's something to interpretate which i will do once i get the full lyrics. its really anti-mainstreamish with the changing tempi, like the first part gets repeatet in a slower beat later again. a track which is art.

overall tre seems to be a mix between nimrod and warning. you dont have to have to much fantasy to imagine a song like 8th avenue serenade on nimrod. tre is a good finisher of the trilogy. since dos is awesome, tre is good and uno is meh im satisfied with the overall outcome. a mix of all three albums? maybe the best green day album ever!
