FatVince
X-Kid 3.5/5 ?!?!?!?!? What the hell is wrong with you???? It's called an opinion. For example, X-Kid is only my fifth favorite track of ¡Tré! and it's not in my top 10 for the trilogy (but it's in my top 15 )
Guest
I interpreted Missing You in a totally different way today. Rather than being about missing someone because they're literally far away, it seemed to make a lot more sense as missing someone because you've fallen out or even split up with them. You've forgotten how much you need them in your flurry of negative emotions, but you feel like something is missing and realise it's that person. Then you're telling them to remember the first time you said you loved them and that it's not over, because you've realised they're your blood and soul. Obviously that's a totally personal interpretation, no idea what Billie intended but it's great that you can interpret these songs in so many different ways. This. So much this. I just don't understand because everyone seems to love X-Kid, It's almost everyone's favorite track from the trilogy! I mean it's just the best song ever! Alan86
Kill the DJ sounds so good from those Live bonus tracks Thanks for posting In "Missing You" I've always disliked the line " I've searched the moon, I lost My head, I've even looked under the bed" But if Billie is making a joke about people confusing him and Neil Armstrong, with the "moon" reference, then I can tolerate it
musso_kn
I can't wait to hear a live performance of Dirty Rotten Bastards. I think it's my favourite track from the entire trilogy.
murdercitykid
Tré is my favourite of the Trilogy albums. Even though there are some songs that I think they should have been replaced or worked more on ( ALBNT, Walk away, and a few more ) I still think this is the songs they've been struggling hard enough to get great. This album would work out as a stand alone record, no doubt about it. The other albums have great songs but especially Uno is not a heart & soul album, Dos is a little better though. On Tré they're really trying to do something different, and still prove that they're the same band who recorded both Warning and American Idiot. I love that you can here both the Warning and Nimrod sound and the " bigger sounding" records like AI and 21STCB on on single record. Tré is a sucess if you ask me, no doubt about it! It really grew on me.
Rush guy
It was my least favorite of the trilogy, but by no means a stinker. The songs I liked I adored, but the ones I didn't like bored me to death. I didn't like Drama Queen, Sex Drugs and Violence, Amanda, Walk Away, or the Forgotten. I'll still give them a chance to grow, but not really stickin. Brutal Love, Missing You, a Boy Named Train, X-Kid, and Dirty Rotten Bastards are my favorites off the album with Brutal Love and X-Kid dookieing it out (hehe) for first prize. People really like this album, and I can see why. I just like Dos and Uno a little better.
disappearing_boy_39
Does anyone really like Amanda now? I mean, REALLY like Amanda.. At first, I never cared for it. But now, it's quickly growing and I can't get it out my head... I've liked Amanda since live snippets started appearing on YouTube last year. I think it's an energetic, hook-laden track featuring an interesting guitar solo. Also, Billie's finally naming the girl who inspired so many Green Day songs. LazyPhil
My best friend heard X-Kid on the radio this morning! I hope they keep playing it. Did he like it? I mean is it working on everyone? Does everyone love it like we do? (Woohoo my 300th post! )
tvrman
Just read another Tre review: I have to admit I am getting fed up with Tre reviews focusing on GD ripping off Sam Cooke. FFS I bet most of these asinine critics have never heard of Sam Cooke let alone know his songs, or even notice his credit on the album. They just regurgitate each others' shit and expect us not to notice. <end of rant> Now that things have settled down I had a poll of friends who like Green Day, which trilogy album is best ?. Uno, Tre, Dos was the overall result. Tre remains my favourite.
