¡TRÉ!

I don't see why some people think Walk Away is weak. It has meaningful lyrics and to me that makes it one of the best from the trilogy. It also fits perfectly with the "reflection" theme. When it's time to walk away, walk away...

I agree with the lyrics. The lyrics are well written. When I say "I don't like Walk Away", it's about the music. I don't know why, I don't like this song as the others on the album.

Walk Away is definitely the most split song on the album. It's all well and good having meaningful lyrics but that doesn't automatically make it a good song :P

A good song is 50% lyrics, 50% music. With pop songs, that becomes 90% music, 10% lyrics.

Anyway, I like Walk Away. It's a damn fine song.

I enjoy Walk Away, mostly just the beginning and the verses.

Once the whole band comes in, it becomes sort of eh.

Would have been a lot more impactful with just Billie and the guitar,

then the song explodes into the solo, then back to just Billie and the guitar.

Same with Drama Queen, the drums weren't really necessary.

I'll happily listen to it, put it this way. It's a decent song and comfortably fits with the whole "reflection" theme of Tre!, and the lyrics are well written, but there are other songs that I look forward to so much more.

Two words.

Missing You.

Missing you is fanfuckingtastic. Some days it even ties with X-Kid for my favourite and most relatable song on that album.

Pop music = 100% crap.

JOKING :P

Like most of the pop nowadays (JB, KESHA, TAYLOR SWIFT, KATY PERRY, LADY GAGA, 1D, etc...)

YES! Missing You and X-kid are tied for favourite for me. I feel Missing You is somewhat under-rated, but that just makes me enjoy it even more :D I don't really get the hype for DRB though, as most people seem to LOVE it, I just get the urge to sing "It's not considered stealing.." or "Amy, don't you go..." at the beginning of it haha xD The middle bit is epic though, just the beginning and end slightly bore me...:/ Maybe I expected too much because of the hype..? Or maybe it's not just to my taste, it's probably my fifth favourite. :P

I never understood why people don't rate Missing You. It's a great song, up there with GD's best. I do like Dirty Rotten Bastards though. It's a fun song, and it's fun to listen to :P

In my opinion Drama Queen would have been a terribly boring song if it was just Billie Joe and his guitar. Live it's great, but when you're sitting down absorbing the music, its more interesting to have the bass, drums, piano, and overall ambience going, at least in my opinion.

I think I agree with the missing you point. It's like a castaway or she's a rebel, a solid song that I enjoy but would never consider the best.

Exactly

I mean it's not too bad on Drama Queen, I personally think the drums are a little too overpowering and kind of ruin the soft vibe of the song. The bass and piano however, I'm fine with. I also feel on Walk Away the drums and especially Jason's second guitar makes the song go from something subtle and emotional to just another Green Day song. It could be because the second guitar and drums really drone out the texture of Billie's guitar that's there at the beginning, so it doesn't feel as detailed to me, just more sluggish and bland once the rest of the band come in. Plus, having Walk Away just be Billie and his guitar (the song could explode full band during the solo and quiet back down again for the outro verse) would make it stand out more and seem more reflective.

Yeah, Michael Jackson was an untalented asshole with nothing but his arrogance to show for.

Get on topic.

Missing You's chorus is toooooooo damn good.
Dem harmonies. I also think that song has one of the best bridges the band has ever done.

Keep on topic, children...

So anyway, I think Tre might be my favorite of the three. Love all three albums, though.

"Walk Away" is a great great song, one of my favorite of the band (so the trilogy).

I love the lyrics and the music even if it's not a revolution musically speaking but it's fucking powerful and when the solo comes up (the tone of the song up1 tone) that gives a big breath. I just love it.

And I love listen music when I'm walking so, this song is just perfect for it.

My favourite is 99 revolutions. Don't know why, it's rhytmic XD

X-Kid and Missing You are my two favourite songs on the album, too.

Then the next best, in order: 99 Revolutions, 8th Avenue Serenade, Brutal Love, Dirty Rotten Bastards.

The others are all okay. So 6 good songs and 6 decent songs. I find maybe 2-3 albums a year with more than 3 good tracks, so overall a great album!
