BCap
I know that John Lydon isn't a fan and that Joe Strummer is (well, WAS, since he's pushing up daisies now), but what do other bands think of them? I remember hearing Roger from Less Than Jake cracking a joke at their expense at a concert, but I doubt he was being serious. Any notable Green Day haters out there (again, other than Lydon)? Lindsay
Does it really matter what other bands think? I think Green Day could give two shits about what people think about them, I admire them for that. Better to focus on the positive comments than the negative comments anyways. Ritz
I don't give a shit. I love Green Day and that's what matters to me the most!
Jet Taman
I think Brandon Flowers of the Killers had some unkind things to say about Green Day especially around the American Idiot timeframe. I think it was some kind of "America--love it or leave it" snide comment. Then again, Metallica, Blink 182, Alanis Morrissette have all voiced their support and love for the band. Sarcasm
Merged with famous GD fans thread, even though I copied the wrong URL to the wrong topic. I fucked up the merging, but I am only human and it's 4.40AM, so yeah.

Lulu Flowers
I saw Joesph Gordon-Levitt, Drake Bell, and Matt Bennett (the puppet guy with the fro from Victorius) when GD played the Echoplex. Assuming they're all fans.Oh, and Frank Iero, the guitarist of My Chemical Romance, learned guitar by imitating Billie. He definetly loves them. Jet Taman
I think i saw somewhere that Seth Green likes them. Whenever I do a search on my DirectTV box of Green Day, Seth Green's name comes up. I think it's because there's an episode of "Entourage" called "Seth Green Day". During pop disaster tour, Mark Hoppus said that Green Day is their inspiration and it's their sound which inspired them. Mark Zuckerburg is a Green Day fan too.I guess you remember Billie performed for him "as a friend" during his wedding, for free. Serena Williams is a die hard green day fan.I saw videos of her singling 2000 light yeARS away. She even tweeted about BJ during his rehab. The first album that Lady gaga bought was Dookie. Weezer have covered Brain stew/jaded.Check youtube. They also have Green Day in one of their songs. Yojimbo
Back to 1995 in an interview with Courtney Love, she saids that if Kurt Cobain were still alive, he would be very proud of a band like Green Day That'd be pretty cool. I remember reading a review of '21st Century Breakdown' written by Krist Noveselic from Nirvana and the whole thing praised the album. And in the review he mentions that Pat Smear also like GD. http://blogs.seattle...own_is_gree.php

michidookie
As someone just said, Steve Jobs seems to like Green Day! At the end of this video he plugs his iphone and shows his music library. There is a lot of bob dylan (he was A MANIAC of Bob), a lot of albums but he plays "Boulevard of broken dreams" and than you can see he has American idiot album, Insomniac and Dookie.. Great stuff, there is Johnny Cash too!!!! xD http://youtu.be/R09xOG9-3Q8

La's Letterbomb
Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols (he was the bassist before Sid Vicious) likes Green Day. That's so great! Where did you hear that? Brooks Wackerman, Bad Religion's drummer, is a Green Day fan too!! Check this at 3:04. Brooks says he liked ¡UNO! and declared himself as a fan. I wonder if he liked ¡DOS!? I've watched a youtube video before when I was getting into Green Day first where Bad Religion said something like 'I knew our fans wouldn't like Green Day'. Nice to see some members of the band like their stuff though. Awkward... There's a video of Billie saying he hoped Steve Jobs would die of cancer... which he did... so it's really sad. Seriously? What an awful thing to say, where did you hear that?
