I'm still stunned for this. When I have some gear, I'll cover this since this is too awesome to be ignored

I have no idea what I think of this. It's fun. I like the solo, bass line and chorus, but the Lady Cobra parts are... different. :P I didn't think of how difficult it would be for a guy to sing lyrics tailored for a woman. Either way, I think you did a good job, and thanks for working so hard on it! I know it was tough! :)

Thank you guys. I didn't like this song at all at first but now it really stands out as a good song (imo). Was HELL to cover, but now it's done and I am already looking forward to the next project. I have already picked out the next song in my head :)

Oh I LOVE this!!! It's going straight on my Dookiefied playlist. Do you know you can sing along to Monster Mash during the rap parts?

Thank you!! Go and have a beer.

Just like the real song, I absolutely loved the chorus, I think you fucking nailed it. The rest of the song is above-average in both versions, and I think you did just as well as the actual song.

Have we spammed Billie/Mike's instagrams/twitters with Dookiefieds yet? We should definitely make sure they get a listen since Mike apparently replies to everything and Billie at least checks once in a while.

Also how do you record your drums? I'm recording an album right now and I was just curious, do you mic each drum or are you just great at EQing?

Never got around to spamming Mike's Instagram yet lol. My hope is to get some acknowledgement from the band so they can invite me up on stage to Dookify their shit lol.

I had this thought where like they give you a new song for you to do a Dookiefied cover of but under your real name and see how people react to it when they don't know it's Green Day and then they release it and it's like HOLY SHIT IT WAS GREEN DAY ALL ALONG.

That's kind of dumb but it would be awesome.

I love that idea. I have always been kind of curious about how much people actually care about the music and how much the "brand" matters so to speak (in this case the name "Green Day"). I did something back in 1997 that became known as "The Green Day Hoax", where 2 of my own songs were mistaken as two previously unreleased Green Day tracks. As long as people thought it was Green Day it was amongst the best stuff they had heard by the band and it became so hyped, but as soon as it became know it was a hoax suddenly people lost interest in the songs. That's kind of interesting. It was a wake up call. The image is just as important, or even more important than the music.

Not that the band needs it but I'd love to become a song writer for Green Day. I would like that even more than actually becoming an artist myself. I wouldn't want to get famous. For me it's only about the music. :)

There's no way it's this one, is it? Cause I've had this in my Green Day rarities folder forever just for the heck of it and it's actually one of my favorite songs ever, and I just listened to it again and it totally sounds like you.

It's gonna be fucking crazy if it's you.

I Had a Dream sounds like part Worry Rock, part Shoplifter, and something else

Yeah that was me lol. I'm not very proud of those songs. I had just started recording for the first time in my life so I sucked pretty bad. Personally I didn't think I sounded anything like BJA, but it was low quality and it was hard to judge. But then again, I usually tend to underestimate my own stuff. Guess I suffer from shitty self esteem. Kurt Cobain sort of thing. But yeah, that was me. The other song called "Listen Son" doesn't seem to be out there anymore, but I aint never posting that song again haha.

OMG, there's even an interview and all. GIANT FACE PALM  I fucking hate the internet sometimes lol. Oh well, that was 16 years ago so...yeah.
